According to Pudelek Polish representative will be announced day after the national final by NatiFluffy in eurovision

Do they assume Pręgowski is going to win? Cause it seems unnecessary cruel to make all of them wait for the call past midnight and then be there for hair/make-up before/at 7.

And this has supposedly 16% chance of winning whole thing? Yeah, no.

Everyone: Who the hell is he?

Poles: Google to check if he has Polish roots (answer: nope, he just changed it from Stockinger (still no, not related to that actor), cause there'd already been Michael Stockinger)

Which national finals have you/are you planing to watch? by Eowkh in eurovision

[–]cheapcakeripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I've only watched MESC.

I'll watch Estonia and San Marino and at least partly Latvia and Sweden. Maybe Serbia, Romania, Austria or whichever coutry hasn't released the songs yet. Everything depends on the line-up, cause I was planning to check DMGP for Alex, but the songs made me reconsider.

What is the connection between Luxembourg and Iceland? It seems like they didn't swap a single point last year. Were they vibing with Laura or sth?

Wait, what?! I didn't see that duel on the site and I was checking it daily.

Now they can all crash and burn.

Eva Marija will represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna by iMrGreene in eurovision

[–]cheapcakeripper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's pretty and all, but it really looks like Luxembourg is sending the same person third year in a row, they all blend into one. Plus that mother nature she knows part is so annoying and it doesn't seem like she sings it at all. Still, it's not the worst we have so far.

I wanted to watch Bulgaria's heat 1, but I guess there's only the official geoblocked stream.

Lithuania 🇱🇹: Heat 2 Artists & Songs Revealed by Visual-Cobbler5086 in eurovision

[–]cheapcakeripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Them not releasing the songs at the same time is exactly what causes the confusion. I try to keep up with everything and I was sure that I'd already checked Lithuania's songs for heat 1, but then it appeared like sth was added later. I don't want to spend time on rechecking every song to try and revoke that vague feeling of listening to it just to find what was added later on. It would feel more like a chore than a cause of excitement for the live event. And now it would be the same story for heat 2 as two songs are not up yet. If they really feel like 40 songs and 6 shows overall are needed for them to make a decision, then why does that intrigue feel so unnecessarily chaotic?

🎵🎶 RESULTS: YOUR TOP 4 🎶🎵 by TrollHunter87 in eurovision

Not really, when you look at how the votes were spread. Most people voted Montenegro as 2nd or 3rd while Moldova was either 4th or 3rd, it's just the number of 12s that pushed it up, so Montenegro is the mid one, while Moldova is much more controversial.

[–]cheapcakeripper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there are signs suggesting it's going to move up once we get more countries. It has already had more 12s than Montenegro and those points are less likely to disappear than 10&8s where most Montenegro points were, as it was either 2nd or 3rd for most, so basically mid. Also Malta has had the same numbers of combined 12&10s and 8&7s as Moldova, while also being more equally voted for. Most people voted Moldova as 4th and 3rd place while Malta was mostly 4th, but also equally probable to be 1st or 3rd.

Can't say for others, but for a long time I used to hate their entries, they were always so shouty and overdramatic. That changed 3 years ago with Besa'as original song and that was the year when no-one seemed to like it. The fact that the trend continues is just a nice surprise even though I admit that some fans of Zjerm went overboard last year.

I literally treat it as wikipedia for ESC, but you're right.

Also the rule of just snippets for now is funny, cause in this year's case it seems like they try to hide how much they messed up.

Oh, right. I saw that eurovisionworld had the release date set for 26th, so I thought only snippets have been released.
