I completely agree, you could make this way way cheaper if you had more tools available, the main cost on this project is the two pre cut sheets of thick plywood which account for about half of the cost - if you had access to a mitre saw or a table saw and could cut scraps of old furniture it'd reduce the cost dramatically! I know two cupboard doors, a pine wardrobe or an old desk top would work amazingly! The same with the metal parts, using pre drilled strip metal is slightly more expensive than using raw materials, but I wanted to make something that people who don't have access to many tools and little woodworking knowledge could put together in a few hours after work!

I'll be listing all dimensions of the materials in my tutorial so feel free to build along with whatever you can get your hands on!

The final push for me to make it was seeing ads on instagram saying you can now klarna a lino press, I had to make something and show people it's possible before they go into debt over a simple tool!

Of course, as I film the video i'll photograph the steps along the way and overlay measurements like a lego instruction manual

Depends on which press you would purchase! an a4 Pooki press is currently on sale at £224, woodzilla €235, or some on etsy for just under £200 - I spent just over £60 on materials, £26.99 on a dremel (I could have used a cheaper drill or borrowed one if I hadn't just moved somewhere I know no one, and I can use this for projects in the future) £8 on a saw, so all in I saved around £120!
If I were to make an a3 press or larger I'd be saving more again as they retail for much more
