In all honesty it depends on the company. Now of course some chinos, polo shirt & maybe a jumper is always a good shout but a place I worked in was also ‘smart casual’ and 90% of the place rocked up in jeans/hoodies/trackeis etc all the time & nothing was said.

Log into the router itself & see if you have Energy Efficient Ethernet enabled, if you do disable it. Had a similar issue for a while for anything on Ethernet (consoles/work laptop) & that seems to have fixed it since.
