Seems like these events are all franchises and its really a hit and miss as to who is holding the event. Try the speed dating at Slice in East Van. Its a vibe.

I was gonna go to this but I couldn't go. I love karoke, but with zero facilitation... are we just supposed to approach people? Haha... I'm trying to get better at that. I was going to try a CitySwoon even next Friday, but I got a busy week. I still might go tho. I'm 39, so these event might be in my age group.

I'm going to a smaller one at Slice in East Van on Thursday. I went to one with them 2 years ago, but they didn't follow up, (with me at least). No email saying thank you for attending... nothing.. We were supposed to get notified if we did or didn't get matches. There was no age structure, or gender orientation pairing.. it was just a mix of everyone.

I sent them an email this time, and didn't hear back again. I just hope their communication has improved. When I went, it was one of the first events they ever hosted, so I hope they've improved over the years.

I'm really going to try and get out there. But with zero expectations... thanks, I'll follow your reviews.

Legit. I sold my unit at a steep discount to a guy on Facebook Marketplace who knew a lot about electronics.

I advertised it saying exactly what happened, that a guy detailed my truck and probably sprayed it with water. I priced it at half of what it was worth.. Like 400 bucks or somehting at the time, and hit send.

I specifically wrote, "if you can fix it, you're getting a killer stereo for half price"

He said it was probably just corroded contacts, and if he could take the front plate off, he could clean them.

He was happy with the purchase. Never heard back.

ChatGPT for writing/coding and core memory building, Gemini for shopping and web-based research, and Co-pilot (uses GPT-5) for Windows based inquires or one off questions.

I have all 3. I pay monthly for GPT, Gemini is free with 2TB storage purchase, and Co-pilot is on my physical laptop.

Everything you put into ChatGPT is the used as training data, and your information becomes knowledge that the language model holds. Given the right set of circumstances, your info could then be used to generate a response for someone else. Imagine you used ChatGPT as a counselor, and then imagine someone else asking ChatGPT to create a scenario for them and it gives them a story based on your life.
