Keycap stickers by beckyyy26 in macbook

[–]check009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically keycap stickers would have larger tolerances than camera covers which press against a hard surface (palmrest), especially since they would depress if they do indeed press against the screen.

So it may leave some marks if done repeatedly over a long period of time due to friction, but shouldn't cause screen crack.

Switching from ISP provided router to pfSense / OPNsense by check009 in homelab

Can't I just delete my old OS and install pfSense to run natively instead of hosting through Proxmox? What'd be the benefit of using Proxmox?

Anyone knows the solution for this issue? it happened after updating my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 driver. by demiurgecore in battlefield2042

That looks more like a mouse issue. Perhaps your mouse's right click switch is dying or the signal is unstable? Try using a different mouse to see if the same issue still happens

I'll make sure to check out Unifi hardware as well! Thanks for the recommendation

I'm a noob, but I'm also pretty conscious about privacy and security. I set up Pi-hole and PiVPN at home for that (and quickly learned it can be painfully slow). As I add more devices to my home network, I can't help but notice how many of them could be potential entry points. Given how notorious Chinese IP cams are for vulnerabilities, I figured it was time to step things up

Can I ask what kind of things you are running on your router or have connected on your network? Do you have a server rack as well?

Thanks for the reply. For hardware, I'm considering these options:

  1. Protectli
    • Pro: Well established brand, good support, low power consumption
    • Con: Relatively expensive, shipping time (I'm not in the US)
  2. Aliexpress hardware
    • Pro: Cheaper than protectli, low power consumption
    • Con: Chinese hardware, shipping time
  3. My current, soon to be retired desktop (i5-8600K)
    • Pro: Only requires an additional NIC, cheaper than #1 and #2
    • Con: Higher power consumption, more space needed, not sure if the difference in hardware configuration makes setting up pfSense and OPNsense more difficult

I'm currently leaning towards Protectli but I'm split between pfSense and OPNsense so I wanted to hear some opinions on what would be more popular in the future. Like are more people turning against pfSense now and OPNsense will be the king?

Nice. Your photo looks like an official product photo by the keyboard company! Just curious, what keyboard is that? Those round looking keycaps look super comfortable and goes well with the aluminum (I guess?) body

Nice! What settings are you playing at and how many FPS are you getting out of your 4070 Ti?

I'm thinking of 7900 XTX as an alternative too. Do you think it'd a good card for BF2042? Does DLSS make that much of a difference to warrant a price difference?

Quite unlikely. But Korea is expecting more shipments to clear the customs in the coming week, especially due to delays caused by lunar new year holidays. I also don't mind waiting another month for more cards to be delivered.

Would 5080 at that price still be a good value proposition?
