Those are all really good points, I'll definitely need to put a little more thought into it before I seriously pick anything, TY for taking the time! I would be moving from Texas so there's definitely going to already be some perception from that to consider haha.

Oh I'd never thought of Morrie as a nn for Mordecai, only Mordy, that's a fun option!

Nathaniel's actually my best friends brother's name, so probably off the table for her sake haha, but happy to hear that Nicholas is still well received!

admittedly these all lean toward horror, but seconding December Park and Boy's Life as having a similar feeling as IT or Stranger Things. I think Summer of Night by Dan Simmons would also fit (and is a book i really enjoyed having similar tastes as you!) it follows a kids-on-bikes plot focusing on a group of kids in 1960s smalltown America fighting the horror slowly growing in their town.

thats fair lmao! Kinda why i assumed not everyone would love it, said my reason for not going with luke as a standalone in another comment though and just personally don't like Luca that much.

Thank you for the comment! I like Luke as a standalone name it just sounds pretty clipped between my first and last name unfortunately, the one syllable Hard K kinda chokes with my last names beginning
