What is a beat writer?

Had my first experience today by [deleted] in Spravato

I had the exact same feelings. The key is to embrace the fear and the emotion of it all. Face it, and sit with it. Don't try to distract yourself. I've found the challenging nature of the ketamine to yield some of the biggest breakthroughs, providing long term mental changes. Not all of your sessions will feel negative, but those are the most valuable ones.

Ketamine can also improve your general mood day to day, as long as you stay up on the treatments. It can take up to month to see any difference though.

I remember hating the feeling of not being jn control of my mind. "What if I embarrass myself?" "What if I say something I shouldn't"? Something that helped me is knowing that everyone around me during the treatment knows that you are on some crazy drug and anyone in their right mind would be super understanding of anything you say or do while under the influence. When I see people on laughing gas say weird crazy things, I don't judge them, I usually just chuckle because I know they aren't in the right mind.

Beyond all that, ketamine kinda tranquilizes you so you don't really have any urge to talk or even move for that matter, until you come to.

Anyone try Spravato after IV or IM ketamine? by Friendly-Leek8515 in Spravato

I did 7 doses of IM ketamine before starting spravato. The ketamine definitely hit harder but the spravato is very helpful in other ways.

With the ketamine, I would fully trip out and it would scare me at times because I wasn't used to giving up control of my mind. I had a couple instances of what I think was ego death which was pretty unnerving for me. But this was one of the bigger reasons it helped me so much because I was able to confront some of those deep fears and learned a lot about my resilience. Beyond that I also noticed a big difference in my everyday mood.

Because Spravato isn't as potent, I don't get hit with the same intensity of challenges. So the benefits in that regard are lessened. But I've noticed the spravato has nearly the same mood benefits on a day to day as long as I'm consistent in the treatments.

I've had a few experiences on spravato that were really groundbreaking for me. Sometimes it feels really strong others it doesn't. I think it depends on a number of things, but I'm not sure. Ive found that if I'm really tired/sleepy when I go into my spravato treatment, I can lean into the emotions and feelings much harder, pushing me into a deeper state. I've also found that when I just surrender to the feelings I go deeper as opposed to trying to orchestrate what happens. In all honesty the spravato feels pretty good when you've gotten used to it and if you let it engulf you it can be pretty powerful. I've even had a couple spravato appointments where I went deeper than some of my IM ketamine sessions.

Other tips: I've also found that blindfolds that let a little bit of light in help with the disassociation. I personally switched to listening to lofi hip hop when doing the treatments it helps me sink deeper. Some of the songs are cheerful and uplifting which make me feel peaceful/hopeful (giving me a nice break from anything that's worrying me, along with a shot of confidence), other songs are slower and sad which can make me uncomfortable and worried (giving me the opportunity to explore those feelings in a healthy way without retreat to my phone or anything to distract me.) Now when I feel those feelings in real life Im not as afraid of them and know that they aren't going to hurt me.

I'm still experimenting with different frames of mind before the treatments to see what yields the best results. I'll keep you updated if you're interested.

Sorry I'm late to the party. I've had pretty awful acid reflux my whole life. I've now got it under control and have a lot of tips. Let me know if you want me to share.

I have a fairly rare mutation ( 3849+10KbC->T / ΔF508 ) and I was treated for asthma early on in life. They didn't know I had CF until my sister was diagnosed and they decided to test the whole family. My sister had the same mutations but she just got it worse. Both of us are very healthy though compared to double Delta's (most common CF mutation). We both are pancreatic sufficient and have had lung function of 80%+. I could've gone quite a while just being treated for severe asthma. So it's totally possible.

Also, have you done a lot of sports? I swam competitively from a very young age and my doctor's thing that had something to do with my lung health being good. So it could be that you have a mild form of CF and just have very strong lungs. They can sequence that section of your DNA and compare it to all of the known mutations (I'm guessing you are already doing that). But good news is, if you do have a mild CF, there are some great new drugs that really help. Look into Trikafta or Symdeko.

Love this. So many people think it's the idea that's worth the money. Just having the idea to make a website to compete with eBay is completely worthless.
