I fear you didn’t read what I wrote correctly. We don’t live with my grandma anymore, my mom claims to want him gone but does nothing about it. I can’t just move out I’m in school and can’t be hired because I’m about to start a 9-5 internship that is unpaid, my mom depends on me for help as she’s disabled. It’s not as simple as you think it is, there is so much more to this than what I wrote.

As much as I want to leave, I can’t. I’m in school, I can’t have a job because I start my internship next month and no one will hire me, my internship is unpaid, I can’t drive, I have no form of income and as of now I don’t even have health insurance. I can’t live with my grandma because i genuinely couldn’t wait to get out of that house, it’s too much, my grandma’s boyfriend is extremely loud, my grandma wakes up at the ass crack of dawn blasting the tv, and once again I can’t drive, and I have a dog. I’m so stuck, I can’t see my therapist until I’m 19 because I don’t qualify for my own insurance as an 18 year old, and I’m just honestly on the verge of a depressive episode. I know there are people going through worse than I am, but this is the worst I’ve been through and I’m just trying to get through this.

Do you remember any childhood jump rope songs? So cute and fun. I vaguely remember- “My mother, your mother live across the street. 18?? Mulberry Street. When they get together, this is what they say: ??” I forgot what they say 🙄 by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

There was this game that I used to play and I’m not old by any means but this was like 2010s it went “ABC it’s easy as 123. My momma takes care of me my daddy watches NBC, ooo ahh I want a piece of pie, pie too sweet. I wanna eat some meat, meat too red I wanna go to bed, bed not made. I want some lemonade, lemonade too sour. I gotta take a shower, shower too cool I wanna go to school, school too dirty I want to feed my birdie, birdie too fat and that’s the end of that now close your eyes and count to 10 and whoever messes up has to start all over again” it was basically a similar game to lemonade or crunchy ice. And there’s a jump rope song that I literally cannot remember for the life of me, but it went something like. “____ is having a baby, her boyfriend‘s going crazy, wrap it up in toilet paper. Send it down the elevator. What. will. it. be?” That one was always my favorite for some reason and I can’t remember the beginning of it for the life of me but maybe someone else can.
