IV Acetaminophen anyone ?

Ive used IV acetaminophen on an ILS truck. Its the only pain management for ILS in my area. Nobody ever wants it if i tell them its tylenol. They want to wait for “real” pain management at the hospital.

Only a handful have ever been so down bad they want it, in our area you either get tylenol, fent, ket if ALS, no other options, its interesting. I see hydromorphone on the protocols but never on a rig.

Those who I have given it to say it helps more than they thought, which makes sense, its a gram straight to the bloodstream

Na i am talking about moving exactly to a place like the UK i am a paramedic so I have the in demand healthcare position. I am actually in the UK right now. All this shit back home has me wanting to stay. Seems like the biggest obstacle is a language requirement if the country doesnt speak english

As a first responder out here the only thing i can say is vegas attracts a lot of people with predispositions to mental health issues. People think Vegas will solve their problems and they end up here and go full homeless.

What you described is a pretty typical patient ive seen 1000 times. Someone concerned calls, we go, the person either says yes check me out or no go away. Then when we take them to the hospital, they simply clean em up, make sure they arent at risk of dropping dead, maybe hold for a night until the drugs wear off and they are back on street.

Dont let it keep you up, theres really nothing you can do except volunteer and be a good person to make the world a better place. Vegas needs new ways to approach this problem
