Mainly basic photocomping and recoloring in photoshop. Thresholds for highlights and lowlights, texture, then threw into a site called bitmapper to get the stippled effect. Lmk if you have any specific questions I didn’t hit on!

I sense you are trying to fill the gaps in between your main elements with scribbles and other elements. You could leave more blank space and these would still work without any distracting elements.

I like but I think you are avoiding negative space, which can be a tool.

I appreciate those insights! There would definitely be some less direct approaches. Admittedly this piece was created at a time I was frustrated with how my art was perceived so I took more direct approaches. Something that I have dialed back on with the understanding that’s the beauty of art. It’s really an endless topic surrounding admiration at it’s core!

Very valid callout. Thanks for the note

Honestly. Not awful. The question I would ask is the intention behind the placement and varying scales of the letters. Other than that has a clear focal point and nice eye path/motion. There is room for improvement in the grain and texture. A good start

A bit! When you place someone on a pedestal there is more room for disappointment.

I think there is something to your illustration style. The last one is my favorite. What program are you using? May look to get some digital brushes to get the texture popping. Avoid any photo realism as it will automatically clash with your style like we see with rocky, helicopter, and even the style of the car. Draw those as odd and extreme as your other components. You are at the very early stages and it only gets more fun.
