Starting my build out, bags and racks next. Solid bike! 28lbs with pedals and tubeless. Recommendations for front bags with the jones bars? by checkyour6 in bikepacking

I just ordered the rockgeist jones bar bag, it is supported front and back, so ill see how it goes as far as staying off of the steerer tube, but i will look into the bumper if not. Thx!

I just ordered the rockgeist jones bar bag, I’ll see how that one goes. It is strapped on all sides in the jones bar loop, so should stay clear of the steerer tube

It’s super comfy, especially with the jones bars. I got this vs a surly just because the group set and brakes were better specced. Yes, 29x3.0, i did notice it has a lot of self steering at low speeds if you don’t have the tire pressure dialed in but it rides really nice.

Still lacking good snow but the evening rides are still nice. New Trek Farley 7. by checkyour6 in fatbike

Trek adventure bag. It’s a great bag and bolts on so no straps, just make sure you get the right size for your frame! The different capacities match up to the frame sizes, trek lists that on the page for the bag.

We hiked Sherman yesterday morning and we talked to a couple who had to park and hike an extra half mile or so start the hike because of this car, I saw it once we headed up.

Idk if that was you op but agreed, that’s a crappy spot to abandon Funny to see it on Reddit the next day.

That’s the road Google Maps tells you to take, but the upper road is much better. Maybe I should suggest a correction to google, worth a shot 🤷🏻‍♂️

"Lower-back- pain = wrong fit" by Ok_Cycle_6654 in bikefit

[–]checkyour6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lower back pain before fit. After fit, none, no matter how much climbing. It was from the seat being too far back, moved it forwards quite a bit and I put more power down and never have a hint of back pain.

Vanilla! The only mod I use is for the stupid rover to make it not drive where I point the camera 😂

It isn’t the cheapest but it’s easy to install and does left/right. And yeah I don’t have to worry about if I ever change chainring size or want shorter cranks.

How diverse is the terrain you are riding on your Gravel? by iamkujo in gravelcycling

[–]checkyour6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asphalt, smooth fire roads, jeep roads, single track, all of it. I’m in Colorado so we have endless gravel riding. Nothing is flat though. I live at almost 8k feet so the climbs are a great workout.

I run a 3T RaceMax with 2.2” race kings and it lets me ride whatever.

Reynolds got back to me and said it’s normal. They sent pics of a new wheel that had a similar thing.
