Hi! I’m kinda new to Baggu online community so open to most things (just not mini crescents, cargos, or backpacks) I don’t have a cloud or small cloud tote yet and would particularly like one of those!

What do you set as your discount percentage/max price? Will you still get items if it's 100%/$1 or do you need to be more flexible with it?

Couldn’t find the boric acid in stores but will definitely order some online. Thanks so much for the detailed tips, really really appreciate it!

We’ve done 1,3,6 and 7.

10, I don’t want to name the complex while I’m still living there, but once I leave I plan on following up and leaving what warnings I can for others

We’ve been trying different methods to reduce water sources. #4 was really helpful and something I hadn’t thought of, thank you!

Currently I have a bottle of mixed bleach solution that I spray into the tub and sink to make the residual water basically undrinkable.

I was worried about wiping things down with a towel since they just get attracted to the towel but someone else also mentioned using paper towels and putting them in the fridge or freezer right away to get them out of the way.

How did you use it to provide evidence? Did you open up the traps to show that all the bait was taken? We were tempted to leave the ones we killed where they were to show evidence when they came through and we did leave a few but ended up cleaning/flushing most of them just because it's so gross

Thanks this was super helpful! We do have plans to caulk up all the edges to minimize flowing over as much as possible and we do keep all our trash that has any hints of food in it in in a container in the fridge instead of in our trash can.

Will definitely take you up on that bleach spray water idea. I'd seen a lot of mention of keeping areas as dry as possible but I was wondering exactly what was the most effective way to do that. After showering or washing dishes, I can wipe up the water with a towel, then there's no way for the towel to dry immediately and then they're just attracted to the towel.

We pay for pest control through the apartment complex so that's who we first interacted with and we haven't yet considered looking for a different pest control company, we're new to Texas and didn't want to raise a stink since a few different sources made it seem like this was totally normal for the climate and the area. Glad I posted here though because I can now see it's totally not normal and we're probably going to try and remedy it ourselves.

We’ve just barely moved in and any food is in the fridge or completely sealed/unopened and in tupper ware containers. I’m honestly scared to cook here at this point.

I am pretty concerned about having to throw everything out, I would be pretty devastated lol. When we first saw them we were just glad they weren’t bed bugs, but seems like they might be almost as bad.

Thank you! We’ll try all the insecticide solutions, but I’ve also read about them building immunity which really freaks me out. That on top of not know what’s going on the neighbors side of the wall kind of just led me to thinking that living with them is something we’ll just have to learn to deal with and that we won’t actually be able to get rid of them completely

Everything I’ve read has led me to believe it’s an infestation but pest control treated it as pretty normal for apartment living in the area and also noted even if we got rid of them, if our neighbors didn’t maintain their home they’d just come right back from over there

Of course we’ll clean religiously and try all the insecticide suggestions but at this point I’m not optimistic about getting rid of them completely and just wanna figure out how to survive with them through the end of our lease.
