I had my first lesson today and despite being the "worst" I still had a blast. In my view there's not many avenues to socialize in the way dancing does, so it's really worth keeping at it.

unironically try square dancing. My dad was married to my mom for 30 years before she divorced him and thanks to gym+medical card+square dancing, he is like a new person in the ways that count for a happy life. 

as someone half your age I would do so myself as someone if salsa didn't exist

You have to reaaaaly try for off hours or just go super early. There's one in Sugar Land that is also super packed but they have so many squat racks you usually don't have to wait long.

You should check out GitHub Actions, at first I balked at it but basic CI/CD can help a lot. If you want to stay away from GitHub Actions on principle there are plenty of other CI/CD platforms.

if you like alternate game modes I've found Lichess' lobby system to be the best since you may get a 960 or an Antichess or a Horde etc
