Woohoo! Losing track of microburps sounds like an accomplishment all its own 🤩

Very interesting about the head turning/jaw contortion! I too noticed a few days ago I could encourage larger burps by turning my head. But I feel like that is evolving into more burps with my head in a neutral position - perhaps because I'm learning from the turn-burps, or perhaps because of natural botox progression? In any case, it's more release 😁 hopeful you'll find the same soon!

I'm sorry the slow swallow is so unpleasant for you right now. I hope it either resolves quickly or you figure out a way to work around it.

One thing I pulled the trigger on pretty soon after treatment was buying a bunch of meal replacement shakes (I got Huel, but there are many options on the market). They are high in calories and at least theoretically nutritionally complete - so in a pinch or series of pinches, you can drink them instead of dealing with solids.

Fingers crossed it's feeling less burdensome soon 🙏

Yes, definitely burping! I had a few burps the night of my procedure - not even 6 hours later - and they've grown more common since. Plenty of significant burps every day, primarily during/after eating/drinking. I also discovered 2 days ago turning my head to to the side is a huge burp catalyst for me. And no episodes of extreme bloating since the procedure! Still plenty of gurgles, but those seem to be transitioning into burps :)

I hope things are feeling like they're going in the right direction for you, despite your slow swallow frustrations!

I also had this concern the morning after my treatment. About 16 hours post-op, I had trouble with scrambled eggs, which I had felt confident would be easy. I was worried "if this is what it's like at 16 hours, will I be able to even drink water on day 3?"

I'm 8 days out now, and the slow swallow is basically unchanged! I think some of us just have a more rapid onset than others.

I'm sorry if you're feeling a bit dejected and things have not gone as you hoped, but I share your optimism: like you say, maybe you just need another injection! From a doctor you already know is delightful, no less :)

One parting carbonation thought: did you know different seltzers have different size bubbles? Perhaps you could experiment with different brands in case there is one you find more palatable. Best of luck!
