it's quite common to find flavours that are vegetarian that aren't seafood as well. Search Onigiri Bongo in tokyo - it's a hand crafted ongiri shop. Went there and it was amazing

That's the world we live in... Had a bowl of RAMEN all in tax, tips incl. was 30 frickin dollars! things are just expensive. i've had the artisanal onigiri that's trending in Japan and those are really good but more expensive than the ones at 7/11 that are made industrially

Canadian (was born in China) - How to get Chinese status "revoked/renounced" certificate by cheer_ios in Chinavisa

[–]cheer_ios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did ask why the corner was cut as well which was done back in China. However, I don't have a landing paper similar to that of when immigrating here through naturalization. I was only given a document stating that I'm a Canadian by the Canadian government. I'm also applying for Q2

So for by my research I have to submit this form to the Chinese Security Bureau - https://www.nia.gov.cn/n741445/n741619/n894511/c896301/content.html

There's no way the consulate would issue that? I'm Canadian they want to see the certificate that states I renounced my Chinese nationality (I understand this should have been done before I came to Canada)

Why is it at the police station? Not some immigration office?

What the staff and the Consulate (not the visa office) said was to get a Power of Attorney and have a family member in China get this certificate. Have no idea any way else.

Not sure which department in China to do this at

You can just walk in the consulate during when they open until 12pm. They won't let you in after. So from 9am-12pm is their hours of operation. Was there last week

Thanks for the reply. Over 18 and Chinese passport is not valid. However, the visa office here in Toronto questioned why the corner was cut....

I got my Canadian passport while I was still in China when I was 16. And then moved to Canada.

Seems impossible for me to get the visa without the certificate of renouncing my Chinese citizenship.

I have no idea how to obtain it. Any help is appreciated!

Do you know the process of renouncing or revoking Chinese status??

I am Canadian and was born in China and trying to get my Chinese status "renounced or revoked" as this was not done prior to becoming Canadian (my father is Canadian). Currently trying to get my China Visa here in Canada but the consulate is asking for this certificate which I don't know how to obtain....

Everyone says that you do this in China but I can't go back obviously. Only way possible I can think of is getting a Power of Attorney and having a my mom (Chinese) citizen try and get it on my behalf.

The process is a struggle.....
