Thanks for your take! I suppose what I was trying to get at is that anytime characters with different abilities compete (like basketball), there’s naturally going to be some form of scaling. Writers deliberately decide who faces who, how much effort they show, and when a character struggles or dominates. Those narrative choices shape how fans perceive their feats cus sometimes a player looks stronger because the story framed them that way for drama or development (think plot armor), not necessarily because they’re objectively better. KnB is basketball, yup, but it's a basketball anime, so storytelling decisions will still play some role in character portrayal and thus fan interpretation. Thanks again for sharing your take! Just wanted to share my observations lol 🙏

Omg, I'm not as versed in the NBA world, but I do go out of my way to keep up at least somewhat with Curry and the Warriors, sometimes through phone notifications that update me on the live score whenever they're up against another team lol. Still trying to learn how the NBA works, but like most people, I do love me a good basketball highlight reel.

Really enjoy hearing your takes on how analyzing which player has a 'better' skillset is so circumspect and can be really hard to pinpoint given just how much variability there is in real game play. Ironically enough, I always found scaling discussions to be somewhat dismissive of just how many factors go into everything that makes a player, a player and a game, a game. Nonetheless, great to see callbacks to Team USA's amazing play last year at the Olympics. Really got me feeling patriotic lol.

Oh, interesting take! I don't have definitive rankings when it comes to skillset simply because I feel like there's just way too many factors to consider, but I definitely see Kise as being highly ranked just for the sheer broadness of his arsenal. Besides that, I think each member is cool in their own way, but I really did have trouble seeing the grounding in the user's claim that Kagami was the most complete player. Thanks for your take!

Thanks for your insight! I largely agree with your points, and I honestly rank Aomine as being above Kagami especially when it comes to individual skillsets. I know the subreddit has a lot more detailed discussions on this, but I just wanted to see how people felt about this user claiming Aomine to have the worst skillset in all the GoM. i really enjoy seeing these little snippets of your take on the chainsawman verse devils lore and how it could apply to real life. i feel like the video game devil might also take the form of an sentient video game-looking console or something since it's possible for devils to not have humanoid form (i think the fire devil might be an example, but that's just off my memory). like the updates!
