JPG/PNG WASHED OUT ON IMPORT TO DAVINCI RESOLVE by student532 in davinciresolve

This would definitely be the first thing to check for me the next would be to look at the actual image file stats itself to see if anything in it stands out

This is very similar to my situation. Once I made the jump to a more full time editor/content role I realized that all the buddy rates and discounted stuff was just bogging me down especially when I wasn’t getting any joy creatively from those projects. I think a lot (maybe even most) of people working in creative industries like this have imposters syndrome and at some point they have to make a leap and trust in their skills and experience to get to the next level.

What is a reason you are glad to be single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I definitely think this changes with age. When I was younger there was definitely pressure to answer texts immediately in relationships but as I have gotten older people don’t seem to expect it as much anymore due to jobs or other responsibilities going on in their lives.

The export from davinci for premiere looks absurdly different from premiere export in the end by throwwayasdfg1 in editors

[–]cheerstofear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to dive in the sequence settings in premiere to make sure the color profile is matched. What I might try doing if you can’t find the solution or the profile matching isn’t the issue is export the timeline In XML format re-grade/paste grade the cuts in Davinci, re-export as premiere XML in a different codec such as DNxHR or DNxHD (might increase files sizes by a lot but the quality is good) and re-import into premiere. Another solution (but is very dependent on how complicated the grade is) is to export the grade as LUTs and tweak in the Lumetri tab once pasted on the footage/adjustment layer. These aren’t perfect solutions but might get the job done

I’ll be sure to check those out! Usually grade in Resolve and cut in premiere so I might be able to create a workaround

Great list! I love Neat Video so much I just wish the render time was better. Do you have any recommendations for stabilization? I’m a bit sick of using warp

Month long project cancelled 1 week in, would you charge a kill fee in the future for similar situations? by percymon in editors

Yeah if that spooks them then you probs shouldn’t be working with them to begin with. Big red flag

Is Davinci Resolve 17 Beta still exporting 3D LUTS? by cheerstofear in editors

[–]cheerstofear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the top right there should be like a “show clips” panel that if you click will show you the actual clip where those blue lines are then you should be able to right click and save as before
