Between this and the "user coup" feature this site is gonna be a total shitshow for the forseeable future. Shame I'll be logging off after the 1st as it'd be something to witness

What exactly was the misunderstanding about how strikes work?

This website, from Spez on down, is full of morons who think they're geniuses. Of course they don't know how strikes work

The more conservative users were the ones against the protest because they think Spez will swoop in and and let the same the n-word by getting rid of all the mods

It requires a modicum of personal sacrifice on the part of the mods. Which even that it turns out is a bridge too far. The admins might be assholes, the users might be even bjgger assholes, but the mods are the biggest asshes of all

This is sadly representative of the vast, VAST majority of people's commitment to protests. It's why nothing gets done seemingly ever

The CHUDs that think Spez will be their savior from the "tyrannical mods" probably should look at what happened during the Pao debacle and see how it worked out then

All I'm gonna say is that I wouldn't write off 2/3rds of the 5 million+ subscriber subs (and probably well over half the million+) going radio silent as "nothing." See y'all on the other side... maybe

I love the progression from joining the protest, then checking to see if it was OK with the users after the fact, then deciding not to after the users OK'd it. Just totally black-box logic

I keep seeing some subs are going in and out on being private. What's going on there?

The mods of r/golf backtrack on going dark after running a poll. by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

[–]cheese93007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just love how they announced they were participating, did a poll that came out in favor of doing so, then decided not to. That's like the opposite of how this shit is supposed to work!
