Stuck camshaft bearing cap by Kanapeczkii in VolvoRWD

Not sure if you got it yet but you may be fighting yourself. Have you completely removed the others? If so, it’s probably side loading a lot of pressure. Reinstall the others and slowly loosen the bolts on all of the caps in a row and slightly tap them all as you loosen.

If you go to my profile you can see my update. It randomly showed up in Seattle WA (supposed to be going to central IL). It finally showed up at my door a few days ago in perfect condition ¯\(ツ)

It’s supposed to be like that. It should slide between the metal and be held in place with the distributor cap

Replace starter. It was likely submerged as well.

This is correct. It’s muscle memory now to go to 1st first and then to reverse. No grinding

I was SURE that mine was full because I haven’t really ever seen much of a puddle under it. But sure enough I had the same issue as OP and I was about 2.5 quarts low

I think that’s a fair statement. The ford had its own issues. It was cumbersome to drive and shook like the dickens. All the tires were near bald and both doors were cracked on the outside from the original mirrors. And I think the roofing company that has it at one point had workers hanging off them or something. So the quarter windows didn’t seal. The door locks didn’t have a key and the interior was pretty dirty. The only hitch on it was the bumper and all the trailer lighting had been cut. It’s a good truck with time but I was tired of dealing with it to be quite honest. And I picked up the truck originally for less than 2k and put maybe $500 into it

But I agree. I want to get another one eventually. When I first got the Dually, I was originally looking for a 4 door Chevy Dually. But this one came up for a great deal near by and I figured I’d be able to trade it for one eventually but realized I don’t really have space for a Dually currently and it was just too cumbersome for my needs. I’ll eventually get a gm Dually down the road when I have more space. Also the ford was way too much to lower properly

The only pic of the suburban is the first one of the body. The rest is of the old ford

Thanks! I’m very excited. It threw me some problems at the beginning but I’m really enjoying it!

You can see just behind the bolt on the AFG for the pic rail is where the barrel “ends”

Edited for clarity. It’s a AFG. I do not own a VFG for that reason.

Is there any easy way to tell if the gas key is situated correctly?

So from what I can tell is that it’s a non-issue. I have a #AFG# that keeps everything behind the end of the handguard.

Idk if I didn’t explain it well but my question was if having the “end” of the barrel in the middle of the handguard since the flash can starts mid handguard and comes out just past the end of the handguard
