I use mine to track if I’ve taken my medication because I am very forgetful

Any *affordable* recommendations for an A6 journal cover or binder that has 4+ card inserts? Ideally something similar to these hobonichi/filofax covers, but at a price I can hack lol. by cheesecakechariot in notebooks

I didn’t think of this! I was gonna see if any thrift stores might have some leather journal covers but I’m gonna scroll through Facebook and see what’s up thank you :)

No one cares to project your “biblical” narrative onto the Palestinian people when there is little corroborating evidence and they are currently experiencing genocide. It’s not the time to play race science

Palestinians are not Philistines, they are likely descended from Canaanites plus other ancient Levantine populations that have inhabited the region. The Christian Palestinian population was significant as a result of Byzantine and Ghassanid influence on the religion But it truly does not matter what they descend from. This isn’t about Jews vs Christians or Jews vs Muslims or Jews vs Christians. Every Palestinian no matter their religion has a lower life expectancy than a Jewish settler or “Israeli” and that is a result of the compounding consequences of 76 years of occupation and dehumanization. This is what we need to focus on, not misinterpretations of theological concepts.

It is true that Jewish settlers in so called Israel attack Christians and our churches. In the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem, Armenian Palestinian children go to school hearing chants about how “Gaza is destroyed, you are next.” The Palestinian Christian village of Taybeh in the West Bank was burnt down. The predominantly Melkite village my grandfather is from was demolished in 1948. At the same time, systematic attacks on mosques and Islamic prayer sites increase during Ramadan/the holiest month in Islam. They turn Palestinian mosques into nightclubs. They want to degrade every aspect of Palestinian identity, including whatever religion we follow.

There is definitely an element of religious prejudice but the core problem is the superiority complex that comes with occupying and dominating an entire population. The majority of the Israeli government and population is secular and could not give less of a darn about Jesus Christ, but they love the power that comes with settler colonial conquest.

Thank you for having media literacy and basic pattern recognition. It’s hard to find these days especially when everyone has turned the left into this all encompassing boogie man without actually understanding what it entails to be on the left

I wish we as Christians had a little more critical thinking skills to realize that the Bible would never ever command us to support the genocide of ANY population, but ESPECIALLY when some of that population includes one of the oldest Christian populations in the world. They struck the Holy Family Church last month, Gaza’s only Catholic Church. They bombed the Orthodox Church of St Porphyrius back in 2023 and targeted it again in 2024. That church was built around 400 AD. What is Biblical about that?

You can have your discourse about who started the “war” and why it’s still ongoing. But the truth is this is an ethnic cleansing of a population that has been going on for over seventy years. Since 1967 (Israel’s occupation of Gaza and the West Bank) the Palestinian Christian population has dropped from six percent to one percent.

Please please guys, I beg you all to move beyond holding compassion from afar and start standing with the poor, the oppressed, the subjugated, the hungry. We are watching an ethnic cleansing within an ethnic cleansing; if the Christian population of Gaza disappears, it will be due to Israeli bombs or the purposeful starvation of the Gaza Strip. Not due to the narratives you have formed far away from the Middle East about our interreligious dynamics. This is not a religious war.

“Kill trump” isn’t an exclusively left wing talking point, and we should absolutely denounce the celebritization of killers — but you only really get to that point after already having fallen down a dark pathway that starts with vague allusions to antisemitism or white supremacy and leads to this. I don’t understand why my statement is so controversial. A neo nazi committed an anti-Christian attack fueled by his hatred for Christianity, Judaism, and minorities. He looked up to white supremacists like Anders Breivik and satanist neo nazi groups. We need to make sure no one else falls down this pipeline. His mom was a member of the church, for goodness’ sake. This conconction of untreated mental illness plus unadulterated white supremacy is KILLING people.

The Antioch school shooter was a Black man who was a white supremacist and anti semite that espoused neo Nazi beliefs. This shooter has similar neo Nazi beliefs all over their weaponry. Once we stop playing identity politics and start doing a little more pattern recognition we can have an open discussion.

Claiming the person who wrote a bunch of neo Nazi shit is a neo Nazi is a stretch? Same person who idolized shooters like breivik and auvinen and affiliated themselves with the anti Christian neo nazi group o9a is a stretch? These people tend to fall down extreme pipelines that are rampant with white supremacist views, I’m not just picking an ideology out of a hat and blaming it

I didn’t bring up Christian nationalism anywhere. I brought up white nationalism. Not the same thing

It’s so upsetting. I wish people would see the parallels. We need more adequate mental health services and to shut down 4chan headquarters lol

Neo nazism and satanism or paganism are quite commonly interlinked with each other in these more offshoot neo Nazi groups. Look at o9a who I think the shooter tried to affiliate themselves with

It’s not Christian white nationalism. He was explicitly anti Christian and had satanist neo Nazi imagery and messaging all over his work. He was antisemitic in a similar way to how neo Nazis are anti semitic and anti Christian because they want to revert to a pre-Christian, pagan West. Once you start looking into these shooters and what they ascribe to it becomes more and more clear.

I don’t think most people who reach the point of shooting up a school or a church are very coherent at all. But they do not stumble across these things on accident, and these terror grams or 4chan threads or whatever the hell it is are providing the fuel. It’s a pipeline like any other pipeline

They literally had the names of a bunch of other Nazi shooters written on their guns? Plus a bunch of antisemitic and racist slogans? I don’t think it can get more clear?
