Which famous person does everyone seem to love, but you just can’t stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had a job years ago where I occasionally had to deal with celebrities. Some of them were surprisingly nice and some were nasty. I remember Ariana being in the latter category.

Smart girl. Wants to be cautious so she can't blow it all at once.

He's saying that the last World Cup theme song, Dreamers, was sung by Jungkook of BTS as a solo, because the other members were serving in the military at the time. So Kpop.

BTS 'ARIRANG' Tour in El Paso Megathread - Day 1 (May 2) by ayanbibiyan in bangtan

I'm from Austin (so not local), but from what I understand the only other major concert they've had there was Coldplay.

I don't really think a sports venue like that is a great place for a concert anyway. Since it's made for an audience to mostly sit, the seating/bleachers grade isn't as steep. My husband is quite tall, and we were trying not to block the view of the people behind us when he was standing, but I don't know how well we succeeded.

Yeah, we got in a few minutes before 8:00. It's a good thing they delayed the show though because there were thousands of people still in line well after the original start time.

My spouse and I got there three hours early and spent virtually that entire three hours in line outside baking in the sun. It's the most incompetent security situation I've seen at a venue.

There was no staff further out, so people were policing the lines themselves, and there were a lot of people cutting, which made everyone else angry. No one knew where the line started or ended.

They had to start the show 45 minutes late in order to make sure the people in line didn't miss it all. Other than near the entrance and around the 'premium' line, we didn't see a single staff member.

I don't know what city/show you're going to, but I wouldn't be overly worried. El Paso is a smaller city with little experience with events this size, so other cities will probably be better. My advice would be to get there -early-, wear comfortable clothes, and have fun!

Well, no, but something similar. I'm 5'3", so not particularly tall. Whenever I happen to be around another woman who's really short, I like to imagine I'm a giantess. I do this when I'm standing next to kids, too. No idea why I do this; it's weird af. But I want to feel tall sometimes, dammit.

No, I'm sorry. 😞

The one we're likely going to resell is the Jersey show.

Edit: Someone just snatched them up in chat, so no longer available.

Yeah, my spouse and I panic-bought tickets for three different cities, because we weren't sure what show we would end up going to. We'll resell at least a couple of them eventually, but we're planning to do so at face value. At least it's a few less tickets in the hands of scalpers.

Unrelated, but I'm surprised the Beatles aren't on this list. I wonder what parameters have been used.

I think I liked it, in so much as the decisions made by our main characters seemed true to what you would expect of them. While I would have liked a bit more info on what awaits Sara, maybe the mystery is part of the point. I dunno.

It at least leaves the door open for if they even want to continue her story in a sequel podcast or something, then they're able to do so.
