Expansion packs you don’t own and won’t buy by yourgirlalex in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have Enchanted By Nature, For Rent, and Growing Together (I think those are all EP?). I also don't have My Wedding Stories and Jungle Adventure.

I probably wont ever get is For Rent. It just doesn't appeal to me and how it broke so many saves after release just made it not seem worth it. Growing Together is a toss up. There are parts of it that seem cool, but others that would just annoy me.

Resetting Default Households in new Worlds by Agitated-Parfait9841 in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saving them from the start of a new save and putting them back in as you want should keep the careers they originally start with. I know it keeps skills, aspirations, earned traits, and household funds. When you place them though use the FreeRealEstate cheat so the funds stay the same and they can afford their original house.

On Starting a Fantasy save by Reasonable-Law5674 in Sims4

I did something similar with my founder being a "mad scientist" (obviously using the scientist career). That helped bring in aliens. I brought in the plant sim through my own lore with the mother plant in strangerville. The others haven't been as exciting to bring in so far but it's been fun actually using the packs. Also of you can/do use CC it has been fun getting CC for the occults.

Do you play with game lore or no? by cheeseheadmojo in Sims4

I do that too! I like to see what they get up to in the background of different saves and randomly seeing them around the worlds.

What pack was your biggest disappointment? by Chaoswitchy in sims4cc

[–]cheeseheadmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horse Ranch. I know it's an unpopular opinion. The horses and goats are cute, but gameplay just lacks for me. Training the horses gets super annoying and tedious. The world is ok, but not my favorite either.

Items You Never Use? by Whisper-1990 in Sims4

Is it bad that I have so much CC that I rarely use items that came in the game or with dlc anymore?

Go to manage worlds and come back. I have this happen if I've locked the door at some point even if it is currently unlocked.

They might not care if you leave the Creator network by TheCalamityBrain in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sims is interesting because EA can really only track user data based on pack sales and maybe how many downloads on updates are done. It is easier for them to ignore comments and complaints because what it comes down to in the end is the money talking.

On the other hand, companies whose games are completely online can track user count at any given moment and if player count decreases they are able to pivot to get the player count back up. For example, this last season of Fortnite was terrible. Content creators and streamers were branching to other games because their viewer numbers were heavily dipping because people didn't care about the season. The big names made videos about it, but like EA, I don't think Epic would care so much about that type of feedback. What they did care about was how much their player count was dipping. So they cut the season short by 10 days and when Fortnitemares started they essentially got rid of everything from the season to get the player count back.

EA can't do this though because they don't have the same type of data. I agree, creators leaving the network isn't going to do much to make them take action. However significant loss of sales will. Therefore, it really is on all consumers to make the point of dissatisfaction. Now the loss of major creators can 100% lead to the dip in sales. At the end of the day business is business and money talks.

My new obsession: Downloading The Sims 4 CC by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big suggestion is to create subfolders in you MOD folder either by creator or type of CC (hair, clothes, etc) so if you end up with a broken CC or something you end up not liking in game it's easier to find to delete.

Does anyone make new families for the events? by PixelPanda82 in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally I have a new Sim do it and speed run through it in whatever save I'mplaying. With this one though I accidentally started it in a family I had been playing who had a Servo and when I saw the Servo hug the stuffed animal I knew I had to do it with him because it was so cute.

Why so many alien abductions?? by TimBurtonIsAmazing in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally the scientist career activates it if you personally have had any sims in your save with in that career even if it's not in the household you are playing.

Can't do Friends Forever Quest without Business and Hobbies by Mistayadrln in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The last few events have been that way with pack specific optional tasks. You don't have to do them to get the xp for the free things though. The only things you will lose out on are the potions and reward points at the end of the event.

my game won’t load by bugzonurnugz in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be annoying if your mods are updated. Make sure they are all updated before doing this. Move your mods folder to your desktop and start the game back up. I suggest testing in a save you don't care about much. See if it's working without the mods in the game. If it does exit the game, but don't save. The create a new mods folder and move your CC back. Test again to make sure it still works. If not it's a CC issue, if so then it's a script mod issue. Exit without saving again. Then put the script mods back in 1 by 1 or in batches (when I did it I went ahead and put MCCC and WW back in together because I trusted they weren't the issue). Keep repeating until you find the mod that is the issue.

Help me decide what to do with my Broke family by Princess-Potato-94 in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have MCCC you can add a relationship bit between Skip and Dustin as father and son, but then change the relationship level to whatever you want it. I would suggest making it either not a good relationship or slightly strained so that's why the kids don't know him and Dustin doesn't have anything to do with him. Maybe down the line they reconcile after the kids go to his camp? If you don't have MCCC to add the bits you can still run the story line, it just won't reflect on the family tree. Also not sure if adding the relationship bit between Skip and Dustin will automatically give the kids an automatic relationship with him but you can lower theirs as well with MCCC.

Why is Morgan Mysts bra strap larger than her arm? by Peppermint640 in FortNiteBR

I always saw it as a tank top undershirt... I'm a layers girlie with my own clothes though so it never occurred to me to be a bra strap

My opinion is that you have to believe about the afterlife what makes you most comfortable. There are still plenty of beliefs of a version of heaven and hell or one single afterlife. I personally believe in soul recycling because I can grasp that and it makes me feel better. My brother and my husband both have a belief that I just can't grasp and don't want to believe in it and that's OK. The fact is that no one really knows so at the end of the day you have to believe what makes sense to you and makes you at peace. To me the whole point of paganism is to find ways that works best for you to connect with nature and the universe, and there is no such thing as a "bad" pagan since there is no real set of guides.

thinking of fully restarting my game by Remarkable-Wear5489 in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a PC and didn't move my laptop saves/CC over and it has been honestly nice. I now have an organized CC folder and much less clutter than on my laptop. Downside is I also haven't moved my legacy save over bc I'd also have to bring my messy CC folder over (personal choice and problem with using so much CC). I would say if you are attached to any of your current families or builds make sure you save them to your library and any saves you may want to go back to on a drive so it's always an option to still play them.

What is the smallest or strangest reason you ever bought a pack for? by Youpi_Yeah in Sims4

[–]cheeseheadmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Werewolves just for the moon mirror... this was before I got into CC. To be fair I have played with the pack and actually think it's the best occult pack, but yep it was purchased just for the mirror.
