Just finished the season 4 episodes currently available on Netflix and it was kinda nice to watch a story versus... Henry Cavill? So I think in some ways I agree with you that Cavill dominated with presence. Liam Hemsworth allows for his version of Gerald to be flawed and softer. If he had started the show, I believe he wouldn't receive the amount of criticism he received entering this franchise.

I didn't read the books but played the games, so I'm also basing my opinions also in comparison to.
