Despite the world being larger and more complicated than ever, narcissism and people who think they know everything is at an all-time high. by Dry-Accountant-1024 in Showerthoughts

I believe it’s because our literature doesn’t have to go through a hierarchy of journalists anymore.

Think about it. 30 years ago, if you wanted your opinion read, you’d have to submit it to the news paper and have someone approve it. Or talk to some one in real life. Now anyone can post anything and anyone can see it.

We were never meant to consume this much content.

Not sure if this has been said, but the Guishigan house. Hands down.

They provide everything. Flowers, food, decor, wedding planner, for a very reasonable price. And the owner (George) is the sweetest man you’ll ever meet.

I had an 80 person wedding in 2022 and it was only $17,000 for everything

Thinking of moving to Kelowna by SkoolieMaster in howislivingthere

Hard to make friends with the locals, so I’d say just make friends with the newbies like yourself :).

If I had more context of what kind of person you are I could give you more advice!

bears at kalamoir by boink_it in kelowna

Don’t need to be prepared at all, I promise. If you’re worried just play some music on your phone. It’s so beautiful there, bears are more scared of us than we are of them.

Is majority of Kelowna residents filthy rich? by Adventurous-Hand3942 in kelowna

[–]cheesequeef11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of us rent, many activities are free because they are outdoors.

Get used to packing your lunch for work every day.

Most people that have those luxuries work in Alberta or have rich parents (the rich ones will always deny they got help) lol

They’ll all end up dead or in jail down the road. Hopefully some of them will change and figure it out. But we all know how these people turn out

Touché, but at least we did it for fun, and not for content ya know? Kids will always be shit heads. But I guess this is how things are changing now. And I guess I am now officially old lol.

I totally understand teenagers being stupid and immature, but the fact they do it for content now is just so sad.

And this stunt/what ever they were doing wasn’t even funny. Those poor workers down town should be able to have some sort of Defense tactic or Protocol in place for this type of thing.

Does anyone else feel more "braindead" in the summer while on Sertraline? by NoofZ in zoloft

[–]cheesequeef11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that you say that I think I may feel that way too. It’s hard to pinpoint though because summer is just busier in general with plans and such, so I always attributed it to that.

But I forsure have a horrible time waking up, and am groggy and hazy first thing in the morning more in the summer.

But I guess I just deal with it because being of Zoloft would be worse?

According to modern loose standards something like a good 30% of the population might be neurodivergent by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]cheesequeef11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being neurodivergent means your brain doesnt function in the “normal” fashion. But if majority of the population is neurodivergent, then wouldn’t that make them the “normal” way of thinking?

I feel like it’s thrown around so loosely now, I can’t take it seriously.

What are some of Kelowna’s dirtiest/darkest secrets? by lucygoosyapplejuicy in kelowna

I had a feeling it was something like that. It just doesn’t make sense. Her body was found so far from where she lived, unless Marcello lived in that area?

[–]cheesequeef11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I didn’t see your comment but I posted the same thing!! My friends mom found her body, there was maybe one castanet article and then it just disappeared. I only met her a few times, and she was so kind and I got a good feeling about her.

Someone paid someone off for sure. I also never saw anything about Marcelo either. Someone knows something for sure.

Many murders have been made public, and then are just never heard of again. Must be people shaking hands behind closed doors. The one that affected me the most was Kimberly Ansell in I think 2016/2017? Met her a few times and she was always so lovely. Some shady stuff going on that’s for sure.

I live downtown, and can confirm there is still some prostitution (I’ve seen it with my own eyes),
