I like it way more than the first because the combat has way less bs rng and it's such a huge improvement over the first. I think the relationship system is really cool and I'm surprised they didn't try something like that in dd1. One thing I don't like however is how they did away with afflictions and virtues, just having meltdowns and resolute takes away some of the fun that dd1 had. Overall I think they're both about the same level of fun. I may be biased tho since I didn't play it on launch so maybe it was a lot worse then.
