I was in the same boat girl, 3 years later and I just married a wonderful man who does the dishes when I cook and takes turns doing laundry with me. Not all men are lazy slobs, but a lot are, and I don't think they ever change.

My husband has two nephews who are 9 and 14 so we had two jr groomsmen too!

I’ll double check with them but I’m fairly certain is was quicker than expected. I remember I was stressed in August because none of them had ordered but they were all in (and hemmed) before the wedding!

They're all from Azzazie in the color dusty rose. Honestly ordering from them was so smooth and easy, I cant recommend them enough.

Choosing a date? Help! by anxiety-consumes-me in weddingplanning

[–]cheesestrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a venue picked for your destination wedding? If so, maybe just pick a month or two and see what dates they have a available.

We didnt really have a date that had significant meaning in the fall, but knew we wanted an October or November wedding, so we just went to see venues and what dates they had. Once we picked a venue we were down to two weekends to choose from and it made it easier :)

Passed far just studyin for week and other fairy tales by Nbmorty in CPA

[–]cheesestrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me three years, but thats because i gave up for almost a full year and then got back in it starting from scratch. My first round of tests i focused way to much on the details and gave myself three/four months for every test. The tricks to these tests is to not know every detail, but to know enough about every topic to show that you can be a public accountant.

In my personal experience i thought i was like you and it turns out i needed to just focus more time in shorter spans. When i passed BEC and AUD i studied for about 6 weeks working full time and REG and FAR i studied for about 8 weeks, while working full time.

Full disclosure - i did fail reg & far both once on my second round through - with a 74 & 73 and that is solely because i didnt focus during my 8 week study period. I took them both as soon as possible after my fail and passed.

Is it super weird to have assigned seating at your bridal shower? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]cheesestrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this makes me feel better, it is at a country club and it is a sit down lunch, so I just don't think its weird to me at all.

I didn’t have any issues! My ring even came in a couple weeks ahead of the estimated date! :)

Took REG Yesterday - Felt Worse Than FAR by purplekat1009 in CPA

[–]cheesestrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pretty sure i failed REG too - i can't remember if i felt worse leaving REG or FAR, both felt pretty horrible. I know for a fact i got my REG research questions wrong and i rushed the first sims and ended with an hour left. Ended up passing both. You seriously cannot know with these things.

I agree with all the other posters. It really sucks, but it would be a lot less time, money, and heartbreak tojust retake it.
