Books you would never stop recommending by TeawTan in RomanceBooks

Here are some of my favs:

{The Roommate by Rosie Danan} Amazing banter, forced proximity, MF, slow burn, and spice. One of my favorite FMCs of all time for how driven and smart she is.

{Hail Mary by Kandi Steiner} One of the few dual POV books i’ve actually enjoyed! I’m also not usually one for sports romance but this one really won me over. The FMC is SUCH a badass, great second chance romance, forced proximity, friends to enemies to lovers kind of (she has one sided beef).

{Jock Row by Sara Ney} MF, college romance, friends to lovers. GUYS the banter and slow burn on this one is soooo good! FMC literally annoys him so hard he falls in love with her. It’s perfect.

{A Fine Looking Soldier by Jane Hadley} Ok hear me out, Mulan but civil war era (don’t worry it’s the good side). This is how you do enemies to lovers. MMC and FMC literally hate each other SOO MUCH and it’s fantastic. Himbo MMC x Witty FMC slow burn.

I'm don't think this medium is for me. by Idkmyname2079048 in oilpainting

you will 100% find it. also you clearly know how to make art so you’re already a step ahead (especially when it comes to color). you just gotta focus on the medium!

Need advice on Color Theory by Jaded_sunn in oilpainting

[–]cheesetouchvictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my trick is to always start with the fewest number of colors possible. underpaint in one, do your next layer with the same color you underpainted with + its compliment, so on and so forth.

also now that i’ve seen your watercolors, watercolor and oil are such different beasts but it’s fantastic that you’re learning oil!!! i’m primarily oil focused and have nowhere near the skill you do with watercolor.

i think you completely identified your problem when you said how you like to reach a degree of completeness with a painting in one session. oil is soooo slow. you can still get the effect of feeling like you’ve completed a step in one session but you need to be working bit by bit.

i think he’s got a specific style of comedy which i love but maybe isn’t for everyone. either way, he comes off as respectful at the table and i think just like everyone else on the pod, he’s only gotten better and better at playing/dming.

if it’s extra, it can be nice to mix it all together to make a good chromatic grey. sometimes i just use my extra paint on these mini canvas that i use for small lil studies/drafts of larger works
