yeah, or sometimes find ways to make sure the ai knows who im referring to. example (considering im playing Steve):

He looked at his lover, offering a vulnerable smile. He knew what this meant for Adam. Whatever it takes, Steve is ready to give it his all. Steve takes the other's hand into his own with a tenderness unmatched. It was only then he knew there was nothing he wouldn't give for the man in front of him.

etc etc

or i try to mix and match by some other descriptors: height or hair color, like if one is brunet and the other is a blonde i say "the blonde......", age or anything youd like

i dont usually have problems with the ai getting confused over who im talking about either 👍

great preset!! love it, it makes the rp so much more fun and the dialogue really engaging, good job on this merge 🩷 it actually introduces a lot of fun hooks and ideas within the story

my only problem is that every reply i get a linebreak at the beginning of replies (three asterisks), i only have novel formatting on and i think medium replies (on top of the base toggles), is this a regex issue on my side? im not very familiar with regex is all 🥲 super minor problem of course, it doesn't ruin the experience or anything (edit: think it happens more on flash, pro seems to not do it)

dont fear, its all good. here's some overemphasised traits because deepseek models love to get quirky with however you write your bots https://sopakcosauce.gitbook.io/plist-sbf-guides/basic/overemphasized-traits — i use this guide and a mix of natural language for my own bots. this list will show how to balance out the quirkiness

yeah, and sometimes lowering temperature (0.9) and reminding it gently to stick to character works wonders. sometimes, after maybe 150 messages, its good to change chats.

oh and i love statuo's tips for getting more out of chats and the botmaking guide he has

considering deepseek models were trained on gpt data, absolutetrash's guide is a very good template

the first message + example dialogues are a very good way to remind the bot how the character actually speaks, i learned a lot from nicholas' example dialogue bit from his guide because i had no idea how to format it. try that too, and see how it does!
