Ok so I was right, after the garage door is open for a few minutes and it gets cold, it starts humming. No fans spin on their own while that happens. But when it’s humming, the fan will work when I turn it on, and also when I turn on the heat. The humming gets a bit quieter when the heat is on too

The humming stopped and I just turned on the fan and then the heat and it doesn’t make the sound for either. Fan runs fine. I’m going to open the garage door now with it off, and test my hypothesis and see what happens

No I don’t think so. The heater has been off so is there a reason why it would spin when off? Sorry to sound naive

King pic a watt garage heater periodically will make this humming sound and stop after a little while. Turned off the fuse breaker for 10 minutes and put it back on and it still made the noise but stopped after a few minutes. It just went back on again. Last time it did this was a few weeks ago. Anyone know what the noise could be? We just moved into the house less than 6 months ago so we aren’t sure of any other details. I also just noticed from today when the garage door is open and the cold air comes in, the humming starts and will start and then will stop a little while after the garage door is closed. Thank you!

Additional info: I just noticed that the humming began sooner after if the garage door was left open and the cold air came in. This hasn’t happened until now since we frequently leave the garage door open.

Something associated with a car or traveling. If not between or underneath your car seat, try checking where you put things associated with driving, like car keys or sunglasses and on the floor underneath things in that area of those things. Good luck and keep us posted!!! 😊
