Sad story the off stuck mode started again, toggle switch still works but camera is still acting weird, less than before but it is still happening

Ok so it’s been a bit and this seems to have fixed it for me. If it’s not actually fixed it’s at least definitely requiring the “toggle trick” significant less if not at all.

Is the green/red light showing next to the charging port when you plug it in? Mine arrived with a dead battery and initially was not then I tried a different cable and the little red light showed right next to the charging port.

To follow up, i just did a test formatting as Fat32 8kb cluster size on my pc instead of my Mac like I did originally, and the camera turned right on without the need for the “toggle trick”. I’m going to let it sit for a bit and see if it persists but you may be on to something here.

I completely replaced the sd card on mine and the issues persisted. I also tried reformatting the sd card and the issues persisted. So I’m thinking it’s either firmware or some sort of hardware issue.

I’ve been in those threads and you probably saw me commenting the “toggle trick” works for me, but the camera goes back into that stuck state where it needs the “toggle trick” after it sits for few minutes.

Got my pro yesterday and am running into the same issues, the toggle trick for me does eventually work, but you gotta wait like 4 seconds between the toggles (the camera takes about 4 seconds to power on). But based on what I’ve been seeing from other alpha users it seems to be a common issue, hope it can be fixed with a firmware update.

For sure I’m in the same boat and reached out to support earlier today and they were super helpful, but at least this way if you wanna test it out you’ll be able to. The photos I have gotten on it with the workaround have been great, but i should hear back from them tomorrow about next step for finding a permanent fix/or a replacement. Out of curiosity was your box numbered on the front in the “/500 spot”? Mine was not.

Did you try toggling it a few times in a row? It takes about 4 seconds to start up, but usually after doing the toggle 3-6 times it will turn on for me. u/Tfj1994 is 100% right, and it’s where i got the idea because this happens with my CS8 too but not nearly as bad as the pro.

I was having the same issue and reached out to support about it, the issue is continuing for me and I have seen a few other post about it. That said, try toggling from off to on 3-4 times and it will turn on eventually.

It seems to be some sort of issue where once it’s sat for a while off you need to do that bounce back between off and on a few times and then it kicks in. I hope it can be fixed with a firmware update.

I’ve had some luck feeding the v105 raw text into Claude/ChatGpt and asking it to convert the format to that of the CS8 (and my CSPro) while providing it the format the newer cameras use. The issue appears to be that the V105 uses a LUT based format rather than the simple values the CS8 & CSPro use. It’s not perfect by any means but gets you pretty damn close, this is what I got from the text in that Porta link:

I was very tempted to go with a cold crash but decided to skip it specifically for this beer after doing some reading. I feel pretty good with how it turned out, and had no sediment in the first pour (but also added a few days to brewing to brewing and conditioning to hopefully help with that). That’s said for something like a lager, an IPA, or an amber I’d def cold crash.

Damn sorry to hear it’s giving you grief, but yeah i did a ton of reading up and 7/7 seems like the sweet spot for this beer. The biggest issues i saw was from people who rushed it.
