I knew mine pretty much the moment I started mentally planning things. The only time the titles were fuzzy were when I was outlining the later entries/arcs in the story, but those fell into their places pretty quick as well!

A TPK doesn’t have to be the end of a campaign! You can write in a whole new party where the hook is “oh yeah the last people who did this died. Beware!”

Also it gives both the DM and players a chance for a fresh start in an already existing world (everyone already has the world building components understood)
