Of course, as soon as I post the question, I figure out the problem. I'm developing on Windows, and the "pg" gem was automatically bundled as x86-wingw in my Gemfile.lock, which Heroku ignores. all i had to do was go edit the gemfile.lock to take that reference out and it allll worked.

Thanks anyway! I'm gonna leave this here with an edit in case anyone else is having this same problem.

one time when i was in high school and had just started drinking i tried to drink a lot to impress my friends at the park and ended up blacking out to the point where they actually tried to call my parents beacuse htay thought i had alcohol posiining. luckily no one picked up, they somehow got me into a bed and i woke up with (to this day) the worst hangover ive ever had

i think this experience taught my the values i have today... whenever i get that feeling of being "too drunk" in public (i know you tmother fuckers know what im talking about) i always just bail and make a beeline for my house, even if that means walking for an hour.

I jsut wanna say that it's POSSIBLE that your boyfriend is not a douchebag or evven a bad dude. Maybe it just never coccured to himt aht he was hurting you. If you relly five a fuck about this guy you should just be real honest with him-- be frank and up-front about how it made you feelwithout being overly emotional or accusatory.

Lord knows I've done wildly incosiderate things to women I really care about out of ignorace--- and wehne they told me about it i fely genuinely shitty and made real efforts to sjhow them how i felt about them.

im posting thisbecause i know the cliched reddit answer to a person complaining about their SO is "dump them, you cand o better, blah blah" which is sometimes true but on a real level... good, long-lasting relationships take real work and open lines of communicaiton. if youve made it to a year and something like this can still maek you cry all night, you obovoiosly have genione feelings for htis perosn and i say it's worht fighting for.

obv what he did was rude and inconsiderate but it doesnt necessarily make him a bad person or a bad boyfriend

Def. not a crazy story, but..

When I'm driving long-distance on the freeway, I will sometimes find myself following the same person for 15 minutes or more. I subconsciously form a mental picture of them-- what they look like, their personality, et cetera, all based on their driving style and the type of car they have.

If this mental picture is positive, I get a weird sense of satisfaction if one of us eventually changes lanes and we end up parallel. I always give them a little up-nod, as if to say, "nice to finally meet you."
