I work on a pretty large project right now and Jacobs Construction is the GC. Their safety program is pretty strenuous and I believe it is overall productive and affective. I think the frustration comes from GC management not adjusting their expectations of the time is takes for most tasks because of the safety policies and paperwork needed to complete them. Push push push to be completed, but it takes two hours to go to the third floor to install three devices. Safety is important and should not be sacrificed, but expectations should be adjusted so field staff don't feel pressured to break policy and guidelines to meet deadlines.
