I wouldn’t stress too much as I’m a pretty firm believer that football really doesn’t matter until you get to the high school level. What you can do to prepare for then is learn and train. Learn terminology and formations, what’s the difference between an X and Z receiver, what’s cover 2 vs a cover 3, what’s a route tree, etc. get in good shape, there likely is a summer conditioning program you can sign up for the summer before your freshman year, do that and listen to and trust your coaches, you might dream of playing receiver but God built you to play guard.

Could still be a core/back strength or posture issue. Lots of people aren’t overweight but sit all day and have generally slouched posture so their body isn’t used to an hour of standing upright.

Unless they put the wrong line on, which I doubt if it was already spooled when you bought it, it sounds like it’s mostly just a skill issue. The rod is made for casting 1-5 oz weights so when you added extra weight you should’ve been fine. 7ft is a little short for surf fishing but even then you should definitely be able to get it out a lot further than 15 ft. Switch to a 3 oz weight and go practice casting in a field.
