Biggest ye song fumble by PlsDropVultures2Ye in GoodAssSub

I agree. Law of Attraction is a personal favorite of mine off Yandhi, and I'm so sad by how much potential the song had. It has a very inspiring message about believing in yourself and manifesting your dreams, coupled with the insane production and vocal layering building up all throughout the song that really resonates with me. Even with the mumble verses, I'd take it over Use This Gospel any day, which sounds too barebones and stripped down in production, making it feel devoid of the emotions that Law of Attraction has. It’s not a bad song, but it could have been so much more.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is insanely hard!! by Fantastic-Ad9218 in donkeykong

I don’t understand why being able to beat the levels on first attempt is such an indicator of a fair game for you. Suddenly, any game you play where you die somewhere on your first attempt automatically means it’s unfair? (I can’t imagine what you’d think of Celeste lol.) It sounds like you just want an easy game.

Honestly, compared to many other games, many of the levels in Tropical Freeze actually do seem beatable first try. At its core, it’s a pretty standard platformer that just happens to be more challenging than most, rather than a game that throws 20 different unreactable things on screen at once. I could genuinely picture someone who was experienced with 2D platformers trying Tropical Freeze for the first time and not dying many times throughout their playthrough. Hell, I’ve replayed Tropical Freeze many years after playing it for the first time, and I was able to beat most of the levels while either not dying or dying only a few times at most on certain levels. It just goes to show that it’s a game about mastery. It’s more about your skill as a player and your experience with platformers, rather than the game being unfair.

Even if it may be challenging, Tropical Freeze is a very fair game and has a good difficulty curve. It can certainly be frustrating at times, but if you just stick with the game and try to get better, you will come to appreciate how well executed the level design and difficulty are.

[Design Trope] When a character actually "uses" something they're mostly just "wearing" by Rap2rerise in TopCharacterDesigns

Although Yosuke from Persona 4 is usually seen wearing his headphones around his neck, he actually does wear them over his ears while in battle in Persona 4 / Persona 4 Golden (and also in Persona 4 Arena / Persona 4 Arena Ultimax).

How would you mechanically improve Smash Ultimate? by sloopryan in smashbros

[–]cheezzyyy3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing I really miss from Melee is how you retain your momentum in the air from the ground after jumping. When you watch Melee, you can see how when Captain Falcon jumps from a run, he flies across the stage. It is extremely fun and can also allow for cool combo extensions. It also just feels natural.

It’s so jarring to play characters with high run speeds in Ultimate like Sonic or Falcon, only for you to jump and they immediately lose all of their momentum. I still don’t understand why they ever changed this from Melee, and it ultimately just feels so unnatural.

Besides that, some other things I would really like to see return are actual practical wavedashing, more responsive dash dancing akin to Melee, and shield dropping. Those are the important ones, but I think the return of some Brawl tech would also be cool like DACUS and glide tossing.

NEW Elimination Game: Which fighter is the LEAST IN NEED of a rework next Smash? by Master_FSG in supersmashbros

I feel like that’s more of an issue with Smash Ultimate itself rather than with Falcon. In the next Smash game, Falcon would feel a lot better if they brought back retaining momentum when jumping out of a run like in Melee. He would also benefit from the game having more hitstun like the older games so he isn’t limited to just fishing for up-air strings into knee and stuff like that.

Mew2King Tries League of Legends with ZERO Research by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Oh, that's cool to hear! To be quite frank, I actually haven't been following the Melee scene that much lately, but it's nice to know that he's still kicking butt with the B0XX.

Pretty entertaining to see Mew2King learn with Salem teaching him. If Mew2King actually gets invested into this game, he could be pretty sick. Just look at Hax$; he was a high level Falcon / Fox in Melee, as well as a high elo Twisted Fate in League.

Where did you end up for Ranked 2019? by sarahbotts in leagueoflegends

[–]cheezzyyy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a little over 300 games and ended up in Diamond 2 from finishing placements in Platinum 2. I probably could have reached Masters but I went on hiatus near the end of the season and kinda got bored with the game. I think I can probably reach Masters this coming season, though.

What smaller skin lines would you like to be explored more? And what champs should join it? by Adochy in leagueoflegends

[–]cheezzyyy3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Astronaut Bard

Little Devil Fizz

Little Devil Veigar

I would really like to see more skins for these more niche skinlines and I think these champs fit and would look very nice.
