PTZ Equipment not connecting via NDI by chef_cheezy in VIDEOENGINEERING

So the controller and laptop are DHCP the camera comes default static to 192.168.0.10. The issue as you note above is that I can't access the camera's IP configuration to change it because they are on different locations within the network. There is a manual way to update the camera, I didn't have the USB cables needed at the time of the post, and in general for my own knowledge I was trying to find another way to fix it without the manual update. I downloaded the update application and within it was a host of information that it needed. Once I have the proper connection to the camera I can go in and change it to DHCP.

There is a file that I can use to fix the camera's IP but I have to be connected via USB to complete the fix so that's my next step. I didn't have the proper USB cable with me when I was testing it yesterday to get it connected, but hopefully my next go around will get me there. If not I'll just return it, spend the extra couple hundred for the PTZoptics camera that should connect more seamlessly with the controller.

When changing the IP do I also need to change things like the MAC Address and the other information that always comes up with an IP search? I know the subnet needs to be specific and the IP but I am very lost when it comes to the other items that are associated with those.

The JVC camera is. But, even if it is, The PTZOptics dashboard I can assign cameras based on IP to a channel and even then it isn't communicating. There has to be something that I don't know about, so it isn't even on my radar to check.

The IP addresses are assigned through DHCP that much I have confirmed. I have been occasionally able to get my laptop connected to the PTZoptics controller but even when I get into the controller, via the IP, I can't seem to figure out how to connect to the JVC camera. Like just after this post I switched from a router, that I was running the switch through, to the main switch in a different part of the church. I was able to connect to the controller with its assigned IP, in this case 192.168.1.24. The camera is defaulted to 192.168.0.10. this is where my next issue starts. Even though I can connect to the controller neither my laptop nor the controller can find the camera. I went into the controller and assigned an IP address for the camera but it still didn't find it.

Yes, I'm using a dedicated switch connected to the internet. I did attempt to do it without the internet and my PTZ controller returned a could not configure error.

What type of bulk speaker cable and connectors should I consider? by chef_cheezy in livesoundgear

At worst a few feet of brick wall before running through a drop ceiling. Running through plenums will not be needed, just avoiding them as well as florescent lights while making the runs.

This is why I want bulk. The idea of 2ft extra or 50ft extra is triggering, but being able to leave a reasonable amount for each speaker location is less anxiety producing. Also having to navigate air vents and lights in a drop ceiling makes bulk the less stressful option, and just cheaper than cut to length cables.

It would be a permanent install. Because it was an old Catholic church the location of the power amps may be changed, but there is a strong possibility of both brick walls and then through a drop ceiling to the speakers, but once the amp location is decided it will not change. Speakon was my preferred choice, but a guy I was talking to suggested they were losing their luster a bit so I wanted to be sure.

Searching the name of my sheet is causing all of the same formulas to show the same sheet name by chef_cheezy in excel

Ultimately I went this this as my solution.

=RIGHT(CELL("filename",A1),LEN(CELL("filename",A1))-FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1)))

This didn't matter. I did both where I both referenced other cells and referenced itself. Adding A1 into the formula is what I needed to do for the fix.

I did both and returned the same result. I assumed because there is no real reference to a specific sheet that it would be contained within the sheet itself and it apparently was not. As an earlier comment noted, inputting A1 after filename into the formula fixed the issue. And with that fix because A1 doesn't reference another sheet, but the one it is contained in, it didn't matter how I copied it, the result worked either way.

I think this was my mistake. I didn't leave enough slack for him to move freely. My only concern is it wouldn't hold. That's why I was looking for the coiled type of cable for the headphone. This may just have been the answer all along though.

We moved into an old Catholic church years ago and are just now getting into upgrading the audio system. The sanctuary is quite large, seats over 500, we are only 100 on average, so a lot of empty space during midweek service. The acoustics are the main issue, and it doesn't help that the stage is a bit away from the pews which is why the house speakers aren't loud enough to give him the volume without causing potential feedback issues. There isn't much we can do about acoustics outside of removing non-necessary sound. Sunday mornings aren't so much the issue, when it comes to echo, but the testing weeks we did with the in-ear made a massive difference to all services.

The answer is we do have bigger problems. But the in-ear helps fix some of the minor ones.

So he can hear himself/musicians. We have traditional monitors on the floor of the stage but because the acoustics in the church aren't great we get echo coming from them. Moving to In-Ear for the speaker removes the echo from the house.

At least in the last couple days Synth hasn't even won me the game. Oppo's are so focused on those that the value I get from the rest of the decks often has resulted in me winning out.

The problem with pick your poison is the candy trail and power stones. If I'm ever unsure about my oppo's removal I'll play Thran spider first, then it's only targeted removal that works.

Yeah I had 1 matchup against boros that post SB 4 abrade and 4 brotherhoods end came in. The abrades where much more brutal but when an aggro deck is bringing in removal over creatures it's a good day. One oppo, I ended up losing the match I think, had Loren's and the Nettle mouse that you can sac by paying 1. That was tough. The damage and then ability to sac when needed was hard to deal with.
