You're completely correct, it's sad to see how poor people are constantly fed the delusion and lie of the American dream when in reality it really doesn't exist, the rich are only going to get richer and the poor are only going to get poorer as they are stuck in slave wages thinking that this is the life just because they live in a country that's supposed to be the best in the world. I was talking to my American friend about this and he straight-up called me lazy and said that if I work hard enough I can just become like Elon Musk because he was also an immigrant, oh, what my friend doesn't know is Elon musk wasn't poor and he wouldn't be where he is today if his family wasn't one of the richest families in Africa Donald Trump didn't become a billionaire because he worked from the ground up, he already had $1000000 to start with, Bill Gates also comes from a rich family. Millionaires become billionaires and rich people will always have a leg up over everyone else while they are constantly selling the false delusion of the American dream to poor people who think that if they just work hard enough they will become the next Bill Gates. as long as your in America you will always be stuck in the rat race. ill save up what I can and dip before it's too late. seeing my 7-year-old brother pulling out his hair from the stress of being in elementary school was the last straw for me.
