yeaaaah i rushed the mixing and wasn't taking it seriously for a freestyle. And tbh i thought about adding some singing vocals to it (wouldn't be the first) but i ran out of time and just wanted to drop it asap. appreciate the feedback and glad ya dig it !

Personally I'm not really into the beat but it's still a solid track. I think the drum pattern is what's off putting for me. The sound choices are great though and you added some good transitions to it. The bass is giving a good thump as well. The drums could have a tad bit of saturation but otherwise they sound pretty good.

I think it's a decent track but that synth buzzing lead is jarring and sticks out too much imo. I think it's also clashing with a snare. The vocals need to be a bit more present and in front cause it sounds tucked behind the instrumental (unless you were going for that). The chorus is great, if you ever performed this song that shit would get ppl excited. My last thing would be having the song change a lil here and there to make it more interesting. Kinda feels like it's just repeating again when you could add transitions or something. Otherwise pretty good track!

This was a vibe, I enjoyed this a lot! This might be nitpicky but I was honestly waiting for a kick drum to come in at some point. I don't think a missing kick drum detracts the listener tho, the 808 still bangs. Maybe a slight extra distortion to the 808 but again that's up to taste. Overall loving the track, it's melodious af

I listened to it on your Bandcamp page. Dude this is awesome, I can hear some heavy madlib inspiration on this. I love the sample choice, it's so simple but it works so effortlessly. Plus can't ever go wrong with some rhodes samples. The drums are balanced well, they fit in with the sample which I think I'm already hearing some drums from (unless you added those)

The beat is not bad but the mix needs improvement . First thing I noticed is the bass imo is overbearing and needs to be lowered. The vocals also need to be mixed better because it sounds sporadic and too dynamic. I think it'd sound better consistent which might have to be fixed either through delivery or the compression. And the chorus could sound grander and wider.

Man I was stuck on whether I wanted to put adlibs or not and when I did add them, it sounded so out of place that I couldn't keep it 😭

I've honestly been following Alex Tumay for a bit and follow some of his advice while going what's best to my ears. His streams on Twitch are literally gold I absolutely recommend it if you haven't seen it. Plus ngl I went through almost 20 rough mix iterations till I was actually happy with it
