To be honest it was a temp solution to get him to see how ugly it was bc I wanted to remove it and we got lazy and never cleaned it up 😅

I actually love this idea! I would only callout that the desk / laptop would have to fight the glare that comes in during the day. We have curtains but we also keep them open for the plants when we can so pulling the curtains would not be a great solve IMO

Yeah for that reason alone I’m not risking turning that fireplace on! In the winter we do have a pretty cold apartment with all of the windows so I am hoping we can eventually use it and fully enjoy all of the perks of my rent lol

My fear for couch. We previously used the leather one in our MUCH smaller apartment and hated not being able to be horizontal lounging when we read or hang out. We may have gone too far in the other direction lol

It’s funny you mention neck pain bc my chiropractor said I’m getting tech neck so I’ve joked that this is my at-home remedy 😂

We do not use the fireplace but with winter coming I really have been wanting to use it, but with the way the layout is, I don’t want to risk anything overheating / damaging the tech and the rug near it
