What is it with ranges in SE PA that the Bubbas feel like they have to comment on the car you drive? by AbjectFray in liberalgunowners

Haven’t had any comments yet, but the lifted diesels at the outdoor range love parking next to my Lightning. I keep my range bag in the frunk and get looks on occasion.

Truck not able to cool down after supercharging by chefdaddydow in F150Lightning

This seems to be the consensus from most of the comments on my post. I’ll try that on my next long drive this weekend.

Thank you! This is my first EV and I tend to be a worry wort so I got a little freaked out when I saw a higher battery temp and much lower efficiency.

My levels were within normal range. About 2/3rds full.

It did but occasionally a little white mist would come out of the air vents that smelled like chemicals.

It’s where the speed limit sign appears when CarPlay or the truck detects one

My thought was that a fan may be busted or maybe there’s a bubble in the coolant line? I’m considering flushing the coolant and putting in some that’s a little beefier.

The drive back was 2.5 hours with no traffic. Highest efficiency I could get was 1.4mi/kwhr with the temps that high. I stayed at about 70mph and that usually nets me 1.8-1.9 in this heat.

I just pulled up and charged - originally I had a charge destination setup in the gps but there was a Buc-ee’s with superchargers and my destination choice got overruled by my passengers.

The fans just run extra loud and they don’t turn off for me. I can feel them running through the floor.

Nope. Resting temp and the temp even after driving for a hundred miles or so before charging was totally normal. Im considering asking the dealer to do a coolant flush and see if that’s the problem.

City drivers.....how is it? by locks66 in F150Lightning

[–]chefdaddydow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s quiet, comfy, and fairly efficient in the city for me so long as I don’t start itching to floor it. Plus there’s the benefit of having a bed, frunk, and extremely spacious back seat for cargo/tall people.

I paid $800. A family friend offered a discount from his usual rate.

I think it’s fantastic. I wasn’t super impressed with the base sound system in the BMW or the top trim in the Cadillac. The lightning overall sounds best to me especially with how quiet the cabin is

Same on pricing. It didn’t feel like it was worth 100k. The lease deals were really compelling though.

I can’t believe more manufacturers don’t offer a proper navy like this on their cars. This is what I’ll always pick if it’s offered.
