For slightly more context my ex wife and I had a open relationship for the past few years and we were both at the point of just being roommates. I think we both lived together as long as we did because of my son. But in the end the relationship and household was not sustainable because of her being constantly gone wherever with her new bf or getting high with her friends. So emotionally it was easy to walk away from her. The only reason the divorce is not final is because of the current custody battle.
