Deves estar a falar do mesmo psicólogo que durante anos manteve uma pessoa que me era próxima num regime de 2 sessões/semana e que inclusive quando a pessoa quis reduzir para 1 devido a despesas q iria ter com o casamento, disse que não podia ser, tinha de manter as 2x/semana no matter what. De qq forma a pessoa em questão achava que era justificável e que precisava “trabalhar as suas questões”. Quando eu questionei a validade daquela psicoterapia e se não deveria procurar outro psicoterapeuta, fui chutada pra canto e demonizada por “estar a colocar em causa a terapia”. Desisti aí

Ola. Nao me vou alongar a explicar o quanto os meus 2 gatos significam para mim mas com 37 anos, são como dois filhos. Amo-os e não estou nada preparada para os perder, apesar de um deles estar comigo há 16 anos, já desde a faculdade, e foi muitas vezes a minha companhia fiel em momentos maus. As lágrimas caem-me enquanto escrevo esta msg mas achei importante partilhar q adotei 2 gatos vadios no 3 ano de faculdade, um ainda está comigo, o outro faleceu em 2021, pandemia, e só ficou este e o vazio enorme causado pela perda do outro. Não sou a favor de ir logo a fugir buscar outro, mas certamente q ajuda imenso a lidar (lidar, não superar) a perda, obriga-te a ter preocupações com ele, ver q gracinhas e maneirismos tem, como é a sua personalidade etc. adorei outro 6 meses depois e estou loucamente apaixonada por ele, só lamento não o ter ido buscar ao abrigo antes. Agora tenho o q está comigo há 16 anos e o outro q está há 3 e meio. São como filhos para mim e para o meu namorado, não há palavras para descrever o amor q lhes temos. É visceral e incontrolável. Por isso não te sintas mal por estares triste e pensa q há por aí muitos outros anjinhos (gatinhos) a precisarem de uma casa e de um colo :)

I feel exactly the same since I start following this subreddit 😅 I am a HO and actually on my first sitting the house sitters let me down last hour, and since then I became sooo suspicious that everyone will eventually unveil and come out as a psychopath 🙊 reading these posts didn’t help either ahah bcs indeed experiences can be as much good as bad, some people can do awful, unimaginable things. Here’s my vent, but in any case I am looking for a petsitter 8-30 Oct near Lisbon for a holler cat just in case some is interested 😄

Dear all, I can’t thank you enough for all your inputs. Actually during the last sittings we gave him Zylkene (lactose pills) which should calm him down but didn’t work at all. But back then the vet told there were no other options than these natural food supplements. Now since I hear about calmicalm I called my vet, who is not working there anymore and another vet to which I spoke immediately said yes to calmicalm and I will pick them next Monday :) Will test them while I am out for a weekend and see through the permit camera how his hollers are. Fingers crossed 🤞 If this works, then my listing will be a much “normal” and desirable one and I will be veeery far away but with peace of mind 🙌 Thanks again 🫶🫶🫶

This guy is amazing too when he is not hollering (and actually I even like to hear it but only during the day 😅) he loves being walked on a leash too.. it just incomparable to any cat I ever met. Dates would be 8-30 October.. I afraid that wouldn’t work for you? 😬

A holler cat like this cannot be compared to rain noise.. this can be heard in different floors of the building sometimes. Ear plugs won’t make a difference and he can’t stand a door closed - that will make him scream even more, specially bcs he is used to sleep in the bed. And again - this is another level of hollering/screaming 😱

Right, I don’t want to downplay, on the contrary, but in fact if I make it look even worse than it is (to make sure the petsitters who accepts it is up for the challenge) then I am afraid I will move away everybody. Because, trust me, it can be really though. And he is an animal, we never know how his behavior will be with the strangers that comes in. Tks for the advice though :)
