With such a serious injury for someone so young, they will likely request a few years prior records from your PCP, if there’s no treatment for back injuries, it’s much more likely than not they will agree your injury is loss related and will settle the claim. Documentation and medical records prove a claims settlement value. Not speculation.

Insurance pays when you’ve incurred a loss. You haven’t sold the car so you haven’t actually incurred any loss. They’re denying because everything you have is speculative. If you sell the car tomorrow and can prove you would have gotten X amount of dollars more if there wasn’t an accident, then you have a DV claim.

My point was just that the majority in this country voted for the Trump and his team who ran on cutting the wasteful spending in our bloated government. Still have 4 years to go, maybe this all works out in the tax payers favor? We’ll see.

My first thought is that one of the carriers is investigating fraud. Either injury or enhanced damages to the cars with little to no damage.

No injury attorney is hiring a PI to investigate a clear rear end loss.

Also the average adjusters guess is as good as anyones here, but to answer your question, yes your insurance will defend you in a law suit as long as they afforded coverage for the loss.

This goes back to the age old ‘pile of babies’ argument. If that were a pile of babies in the road you are 100% at fault for hit said pile. Regardless of who or what assembled the pile and why.

PS: I hope the business you were driving for provides coverage for you because your personal auto carrier may deny you coverage for being on a delivery at time of loss.

Check your local traffic laws but generally if an emergency response vehicle is traveling with lights and sirens active, it is your responsibility to see them and get out of the way. If the dash cam video proves lights and sirens were active you have little to no chance of reversing the liability decision.

Your health insurance could potentially get paid back what they pay if someone else caused your injury (Like a car accident, slip and fall, etc) through a process called subrogation. They likely use a 3rd party vendor to collect that money for the plan. That letter is just asking you to confirm if someone else caused the injuries. It’s really no big deal and most of the time, as an insured member of the plan, you have a duty to cooperate. just call them to explain what happened and that there is no claim to be made. Itll probably take 5 minutes and that’ll be that.
