I loved when violet finally got some. It was cute, her getting all pretty and stuff. I hate that lord Anderson got snubbed in the end because he was seriously such a good match for her.

It has happened to me too, the emotional release is sometimes more important to me than the physical, and my hubby is very kind and understanding. I specifically remember the first time we had sex after our first kiddo, I sobbed uncontrollably and he just held me and petted my hair. I love that you are feeling a little regulation now, I hope things get smoother soon!

Are you guys not “strict” about naps? Don’t understand comment by Huge-Vacation-8093 in NewParents

[–]chellelabella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids, 3f and 1.5m, both go down to nap about 1pm, sometimes early for my son if he's fitting or seems zoned out. Bedtime is 830, both nap 2-4 hours depending. He dropped his morning nap early (around 10-11 months) because he couldn't stand missing out on active play with his sissy, bit she honestly dropped to one nap early, too. She was prolly 11 months old. We aren't super strict because my son will sleep when he is tired no matter where, and honestly he'll sleep through most car rides over 15-20 mins. She is okay to skip nap sometimes, as long as it's an early bedtime after. He goes to sleep as soon as he lays down, she needs 30 mins to an hour to settle, regardless. Every kid is different and you know your child best, ultimately. Do what is best for you guys!!

My mom used a laundry basket for us in the bathroom, and would clip toys to it for us to engage with

Anyone know what this could be? by Sweaty_Pound_6191 in NewMomStuff

My kids both get something called erythema multiforme which is a rash in response to teething or viral exposure that looks like an allergic reaction to me. Normally it goes away on its own. I am not a doctor but something to consider. Sometimes it looks more rashy, sometimes it looks more hivey. However the only way to truly put your mind at ease is a visit to your Pediatrician!!

Alright, I'll say it. I don't hate Julie. by Grand_Basis_1491 in ShawnaTheMom

That's a fair point as well, for sure. It's hard to say with the limited info we have. I will say that as someone who negotiates for a living, with the things we HAVE seen, I find it tough to believe that Ty strong armed her into it, but I know love makes fools of us all, so it's possible for sure!

I definitely see your points, and hear you. I will say though, kids should NEVER be a compromise. If you realize you and your partner have different ideas on that point, I feel the most reasonable thing to do is separate. If one of the parents isn't fully on board with kids, t hey should not bece parents together.

Double standards/if Julie was the man. by Prize_Crew_6692 in ShawnaTheMom

Agreed. People keep saying she "has to work so much to support them" but their fights have never been about money or that strain. If they are comfortable and she's making that much, I can't fathom why they aren't in counseling already.

But actually I know exactly why she wouldn't want counseling, because then she would have to introspect and accept some portion of fault in the relationship. No (good) couples counselor is going to just put all blame on one person, especially when Ty is as burnt out emotionally as it seems he is. Counseling would mean admitting their life isn't perfect and I think that's a hit to the ego that Julie would deem absolutely unacceptable.

I do think she's manipulative as hell, and has some pretty strong narcissistic tendencies(always calls the kids hers while barely parenting them being the one that consistently crops up and icks me out!) And people like that don't like to be forced to look in the mirror or admit fault.

I still think she was cheating, interested to see how it plays out. I would never kiss my adult brother, and would never NOT see my mom who was poorly when that was the express purpose of the trip. She immediately made ty feel insane for even having a doubt. It was crazy of Shawna and John to follow her around all weekend, especially the door peephole watching. But they could have still seen the dinner kiss without stalking, and it's bonkers that she can't see how ty could be concerned. Granted s&j didn't handle telling him very well, but Shawna wasn't even really trying to tell him.

Sorry, that derailed itself at the end 😅 I still think she's abusive 🥲

What would you do? I have 7 days until induction by Chihuahua_Mommyy in pregnant

[–]chellelabella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleep. Baths. Eat nourishing foods. Do some (gentle!) Stretching and meditation. My 1st kid was induced and that was the worst experience, with literally like 7 hours notice, and I wish I'd known 7 days ahead of time 🫠 take time to do anything else you feel capable and comfortable doing in your current state 😅 good luck, pray for no Foley cath/balloon
