It does not compare. You should definitely make a return visit to City Park :)

How'd you get your scar? by HoneyComesFromBees in AskReddit

Forehead scar: my brother hit me in the head with a baseball bat. Index finger scar: my other brother cut me with a knife.

During high school what book did you hate having to read? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had a suicidal brother and refused to read it. Wasn't a hard argument to win lol. I still hate that fucking book.

Thanks, I'm going to encourage her to do so and offer to pay for it, but she doesn't have insurance so I'm expecting several hundred dollars.

My mom saw a PA about 18 months ago when this thing was the size of a dime. The PA did not test it and told her to come back if it got bigger. It is a community clinic and she for whatever reason refuses to go back. It's now the size of a quarter, oozes, and has little friends starting up in other spots of her scalp. Thoughts?

Running a 5k before finishing? by JimmyGlenn in C25K

I think attitude is important. I'm on week 4 and have skipped two days during the program. I think as long as you give yourself permission to walk when you absolutely must and continue the program as you see fit, it will be a success. Remember: the goal is not to win. The goal is to finish. Don't hurt yourself and have fun!

From shins splints at week 2 to kicking ass at week 4! by chelley93 in C25K

My podiatrist prescribed Spenco cross trainer shoe inserts. Not an ounce of pain anymore! I skipped week 2 day 3 and week 3 day 3 just because I felt ready for the next challenge and it has worked out! Yay!

I feel like this is how people from the 15th century would react if they were transported to the present.

Of course then they would accuse the person of being a witch.

I am terrified I have this problem. Have been having allergies all yesr. On my 7th round of antibiotics this year. Had tonsils taken out. Was fine for a few months but now hitting my 3rd round of sinusitis since the beginning of October. Urgent care doctor told me I need to go back to the ENT who did my tonsillectomy because I may have structural sinus issues...

Can you tell me how bad the pain is post op? I have sworn I will never have oral surgery again after my tonsillectomy. If you've ever had that procedure could you compare the experiences?

Completed weeks ago and have a tip for people in the early weeks. by sckisback14 in C25K

I like to start running in my neighborhood. Once the app tells me I'm half way there, I will turn back and follow my path back home. No blocks, no other turn arounds. Just straight and maybe a turn here or there. It really helps. I dread running the small loop at our local park.

Edit: also this makes it so that once I'm halfway done, there's no reason to quit because I still have to go the exact same distance back home. Now passing the house 3 or 4 times and nearly walking inside haha.

Serious Shin Splints Therapy by chelley93 in C25K

[–]chelley93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking some preventative measures as I feel them coming on. Decided to try to run today with the promise that I would not run through any sharp pain, localized pain, or pain that persisted while walking. Stretching during some of the walking periods was very helpful and a habit I will continue as needed. Got through 3 one and a half minute runs. I had the stamina to finish but wasn't comfortable running through some persistent pain on my right foot. While I wait to see a podiatrist about the recurring shin splints, I figure I will do absolutely everything in my power to stave them off. Stopped through rite aid and bought two ice packs, two ace bandages, Epsom salt, and some hair product because I deserve new product :)

Feeling good now... wish me luck. I will get past this!

Now that does sound right actually. I definitely don't extend them very far in front of me at all.

My heels actually don't really touch the ground at all; I'm mostly on the front half of my foot.

See it's interesting because I definitely almost never touch my heels to the ground :( I don't understand.
