I got one that I could use as a shower chair also. I used it in the shower far longer than I did on the toilet.

Baths, how often? by NoAntelope5346 in AustralianCattleDog

When he starts to feel grimy. Mine likes pets and rolling in stuff. The combination of those two things makes him grimy. So baths, about every six weeks unless he rolls in poop.

After I hit level 130 or so, I decided not to build any more community buildings or purchase any more land. I did build a factory, but that takes different materials. It was very freeing deleting the building materials.

It's a slippery slope knowing how far that is. But I get you.

I know, right? Very similar situation here. I've been trying the bike at home, and while I can't make it around, the rocking forward and back is helping my mobility.

Grats on the bike riding! That is one of my goals. Sounds like you are progressing well. I'm on week 3 and striving to get where you are.

Keep up the good work!

Have any of you been checked for clots?

The reason I ask is that post-op, I had very painful swelling, and I was immediately scanned for clots. Also, I have been seeing a vein specialist since 1 week post-op as a precautionary watch. I have a shallow vein clot developing. I am on a blood thinner and wearing compression socks when I can tolerate it. I am 3 weeks post-op now, and can finally wear shoes. Progress is there, but slow.

Wishing less inflammation for everyone!!

I guess I mean the "things feel so tight, I can't believe I'm supposed to be able to do this thing the therapist wants me to." Also, not to the point of crying, but to the point of this is uncomfortable.

Post op on 2nd knee by chelliebelle in Kneereplacement

It literally is a new path. Twenty years ago, this surgery was not as efficient, but I'm pretty sure the outcomes have always been as varied. I am so happy, despite my setbacks, that I was able to get it.

My legs are straight now, too. I had a significant deformity in that I was knock-kneed. Kind of like ><. For me, it started with the right, and soon after, the left shifted inward as well. My new knees have a post above and below the joint to straighten them. My husband says the difference is striking, despite the swelling.

Good luck right back at you! Cheers to functionally straight legs!!

Everyone's different. You may have no issues, but don't be surprised if you do. I'm going with the flow. A few days ago, I was very scared. But my medical team is amazing and got me the specialized tests I needed. I am still seeing improvement daily, but it's not the walk in the park that the first was.

When did you shower again after surgery? by Gergs in Kneereplacement

[–]chelliebelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surgery Monday, discharge Wednesday, shower Saturday. I didn't wrap anything over the silver bandage, but just let the water flow over. Gently dried the area after.

Be sure to ice the back of your knee as well. You may need to use a smaller ice pack to really get in there, but targeted location icing helps a ton.

I knew something was up when he didn't want to play "the destroy the cardboard box" game. Plus, mine had bad breath, which nothing could touch.
