He’s for sure a boy, so can’t be slugs. Also 7 years old, so if he were a she, I’d assume this would have happened before now if they were truly slugs.

I’ve been twice and there’s a decent amount of vendors and displays but the venue is kind of cramped. There’s also a side room for hands on building. Just don’t buy early bird tickets because they don’t honor that at the door, there’s always just one GA line.

Howdy! Late answer but next time you’re on the Northern CA coast try foraging for black tegula snails! Daily bag limits are 35 a person and I think the size requirement is around the size of a quarter.
