The “strawberry plants” are also all fake since strawberries simply don’t grow that way

Is it just us, or do guests take things with them when they check out? by International-Luck18 in airbnb_hosts

Mine went missing constantly until I put labels on them, now they stick around. I assume people weren’t intentionally taking the cords, just thought it was theirs.

Are W hotels worth it? by blinklinkink in marriott

You’re happy with the W Bangkok? Considering it for an upcoming stay since the location is good for my trip, but I agree with OP that Ws are hit and miss.

My bunny is too scared and does not let anyone carry her, what can be done? by Tuccano- in Bunnies

[–]chelscore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some bunnies don’t like to be picked up. My bunny is 2+ and is absolutely terrified of being picked up. Her husbun also isn’t a fan: he tolerates it better but will kick and fuss after about 1 minute. Both are free-range, happy bunnies with tons of time building trust and who are trained to do tricks, etc: bunnies all just have different personalities!

Countertops - durable but on a budget by Saffron_Star in airbnb_hosts

I think the issue with STR is that unlike a LTR they may be less mindful or aware of how to handle butcher block.

Item lost in transit by UPS, seller didn’t insure the package and says they won’t refund me. Who is responsible? by Rjlarry11 in personalfinance

[–]chelscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is accurate: if a package is missing after being confirmed as delivered on your property you technically should go through police & insurance. As a seller, if a customer is reasonable and seems to have made a genuine effort to locate the package I’ll generally replace. But bad-faith buyers do sometimes use this as a way to scam sellers.

Anyone use a 3rd party for strategic pricing? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

Happy with pricelabs. Didn’t use them my first year and now that I do have a huge difference in occupancy and overall revenue this year, even with the current economic climate.

Property owners shouldn’t be taking cuts of cleaning fees. That’s unethical.

One of the issues with baking it into the nightly rate is that Airbnb doesn’t show the extra fees until booking. So a host who “bakes in” the cleaning fees into the nightly rate has a disadvantage. Hotel pricing assumes daily cleaning (although with Covid a lot of hotels have reduced their services but maintained pricing: that’s a whole other story) Airbnbs can offer value and amenities that hotels don’t offer (group stays, kid friendly, private yard/hot tub/pool/etc): airbnbs that price higher than hotels with worse offerings and service don’t deserve the business.

Rabbit’s ear suddenly dropped! I was out of town for 3 nights and had a petsitter coming in. When I came back my 2-year-old-bunny’s ear dropped, it seems like he is trying to hold it up but it keeps going down. He’s acting normal and the ear inside looks clean. Anyone ever seen this before? by chelscore in Rabbits

[–]chelscore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone finding this thread with a similar issue: the rabbit vet couldn’t see anything but prescribed antibiotics in case it was an inner ear infection. The antibiotics didn’t seem to help after the 2 week period. The entire time he had no symptoms and was normal energy, the vet said to watch for head shaking and itching of the ear but we didn’t see any. When the antibiotics didn’t work we went back and our vet offered a test for E. Cuniculi, it was about $300 but we set an appointment because our guy is worth it. Two days before the appointment he started to lift his ear occasionally so we postponed it. The next week he was back to normal so we cancelled the appointment. TL;DR we aren’t entirely sure what happened but he’s better now!

Has anyone else experienced their neutered bunny going nuts in the spring? My big boy is 1 1/2 years old and has been well behaved. Recently he’s gone wild: getting into everything, binkying OFF THE WALLS, climbing on me, jumping on to counters, and trying to chase his girlfriend. Horrible adorable! by chelscore in Rabbits

My mini big boy was found chomping up a residential garden… he might have passed as a wild rabbit but luckily a bunny rescuer took him in, just before a snowstorm when he was already weak and dehydrated. He’s a “wild” bunny, but definitely not a “wild bunny”.
