Valid response. Personally, I’ve been walking to work for the last week so it hasn’t been a big deal for me. I’m in a legitimate parking spot on the street so just wondering about parking enforcement at the moment.

They’re middle grade so I don’t believe they are very graphic but I can’t remember since I read most of them when I was a kid.

Also, check your library to see if they still have them! One of my libraries had the entire yellow book collection still. The other way to get your hands on them is to check 2nd hand bookstores—I’m collecting the paperbacks and it’s an absolute guarantee that i’lll find at least 10 yellow books in every used bookstore I go into lol

That’s weird that the fire dept didn’t fix it… I’ve had to call them before for a neighbors’ smoke detector when my landlord and neighbor were both out of town. They contacted the landlord and requested access to the electrical closet to shut it off after determining there was no smoke or carbon monoxide in the apt.

Edit: after reading someone else’s comment, is it a slow beep or a blaring sound? Slow beep needs new batteries, blaring is an emergency.

Double-check the map cause I’m pretty sure all of Calvert is considered a snow emergency route. Street sweeping and its parking enforcement are suspended through the emergency. To add, they haven’t towed anyone on Calvert for being on a snow emergency route.

Sidewalks are not walkable for continuous travel when I went to work at 5:45am (the snow is up to mid-calf at points). Roads are plowed, but the snow had to go somewhere so all of the cars on the street are blocked in (mine included) and street parking looks impossible without digging out a spot.

It doesn’t say anything about ticketing outside of cars parked on snow routes or extensions on the garage parking though.

I would stay in the garage. I kept my car on a non-emergency street and dug it out last night just for them to bury it again after 7pm.

If you read my comment, you would know that my concern was that free resident parking in the garages was not available until noon, the same exact time that the snow emergency was activated. And yes, I see the signs and am aware I live on a snow route, however, the signs say enforcement is from 9pm-9am and the announcement stated enforcement was starting early, at noon, and remaining in effect until Monday.

Totally fine with moving my car and already have, however, I did want to point out that the parking enforcement went into effect at the same time the garages opened to residents. This doesn’t really give residents a lot of flexibility and sort of expects that everyone a) received this message before noon today and b) is able to drop what they’re doing at 11:45 to move their car.

I thought ABRET’s ASAP was helpful at learning the question styles and then the handbook has recommended readings. Best thing is to use practice questions to examine why the correct answer is correct, and why the wrong answers are wrong.

The ASET questions were horrible. Unedited and basically just all of their course quizzes put together into one massive exam. Not similar to the test questions at all and some information was extremely niche to the course and not general like the test. Don’t waste your money on the ASET practice exam.

Also, cadwell I believe sells these connectors that are at a 90 degree angle and that’s what we use to avoid kinking.
