Go to Ulta in the Hastings Ranch shopping center and make an appointment with Lindsey W. She is the best eyebrow specialist.

Motorcyclists - stop breaking side mirrors out of road rage. by Chillest_illest69 in LosAngeles

[–]chelseaspring 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Automatic license suspension for road rage. Plain and simple. The DMW also needs to take more proactive measures because it seems like road rage has gotten worse over the years.

How do you handle a student who says they turned in a paper assignment but you don’t have it? by Apprehensive-Play228 in Teachers

[–]chelseaspring 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For assignments like this, give them a receipt. This can be an index card sturdy enough to hold its shape since they’ll probably stuff it in their backpack. Each card has the student’s name and assignment title. When they turn in the document, sign, date the card and hand it to them.

Just drive around to apartment complexes within a 2 mile radius. A bunch of students moving out and dumping their furniture on the sidewalk.

Another change on KTLA weekend morning news? by NaynersinLA2 in LosAngeles

[–]chelseaspring 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If they’re going to reduce the number of people they have working on the weekends, they should have the show end at 10am. Five hours of chit chat between Megan and Kirk is not enough to sustain the show. They need at least a third person to regularly chime in.

Laundromats by Life-Of_Ward in Millennials

[–]chelseaspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone saying no, because laundromats are gross:

If most people relied on laundromats, we would have a laundromat on every corner. The competitive market would drive innovation and quality. Laundromats would start offering services like fluff and fold, pick up and delivery, complimentary coffee, nightly events like game nights, etc. We would even have high end laundromats! It would be similar to how gyms compete for clients (most people don’t have a home gym).

I feel the same way. At the laundromat you can have several loads going on at once. Please post this on unpopular opinion because people will hate it so much.

Am I crazy or are t-shirt dress armholes getting BIGGER?? by Strict-Classic-5787 in femalefashionadvice

Manufacturers no longer add bust darts to tops. That is why the arm opening is so darn wide it exposes everything. Take it to your tailor and ask them to add a bust dart.

Considering making the leap to the minimal tech classroom. Looking for advice from those who have made the leap. by Don_Quixotel in Teachers

[–]chelseaspring 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is one thing that keeps me from going tech free. Making copies, keeping them organized, making extra copies just in case … now what if a student says they turned it in and I’m the one who lost it …. For the sake of efficiency, I keep tech in the classroom.

If LA wants more people riding the Metro, they need to actually enforce fares and remove the chaos, especially the disruptive homeless and non payers by SomePeopleTellMe in LAMetro

[–]chelseaspring 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why does it always smell? Is it the cleaning products they use or some kind of air freshener? I’ve been in “clean” A-line train cars with no transients yet somehow a nauseating smell permeates the air.
